16:08 a perfect example of how important positioning is in tabs. They outnumbered them both in cost and unit count but the low ground allowed the blue archers to land more shots below the shields, which resulted in their victory

There'd a whole bunch of secret units hidden throughout all of the normal tabs maps, and that's where you can find crossbow troops

Fun fact: "William the Conqueror" was originally known as "William the Bastard." He was know as this because his father was in a relationship with the tannersman's daughter. He was born before they married which explains the name.

Hello, history major from the UK here. Until recently we have had more in it’s of what probably actually happened to William the conqueror in the battle of Hastings on October 14th, 1066. It was actually believed that during the battle, William sent out a death squad to hunt down Harold. They then found him, killed him, and brutally mutilated him. Worse that they arrow to the eye story! Love your content though, keep going

The Saxons or Harold were actually winning the Battle of Hastings but as the Normans were in retreat he chased after them and left almost all of his troops behind and his troops were picked off by the Norman long bows

William should have thanked Harold for defeating Hardrada at Stamford bridge thus bringing the viking era in England to an end. Also Harold didn t even get to celebreate his achivement thanks to William s invasion and since Harold defeated the Vikings for good William never had to worry about vikings invading his realm

Not enough people give Harold the credit he deserves. He was in southern england because he was expecting William to invade, rushed his men day and night to the north 180-some miles away in 4 days , taking harald and tostig by surprise then after the battle rushed his men back south to fight the landing normans.

The last battles you had William closer to the fight than Harold, so the saxon army would get demolished before Harold got there. This left him fighting the remaining Normans effectively alone.

Pixelated Apollo the Norman won in the last battle because high ground has an opposite effect in tabs. Archers just shoot at them having a clear shoot,whereas the saxon's archers don't have a clear shot at their enemies

Hey Apollo, you should do the Last stand of the Swiss Papal Guard in the Sacking of Rome. You could have 1 Preist to symbolize Pope Clemence VII, 20-30 Halberds being the Papal Swiss Gaurd vs 2-3times of mostly footman with a couple of sprinkle of Knights representing the unpaid mercenaries and their leaders. I would recommend using Medival Castle Map(round borders around the keep to make choke points)
