Tac Tip - After Fire.
Definition.
The after fire rule is a cycle of actions which takes place after a threat stimulus is addressed and eliminated. This rule and approach is largely relays on the fact that during high threat and high stress situations, a threat fixation will take place until the individual will be absolute sure the threat is eliminated or when mental distress / stress will be decreased.
Additional point which we feel is important to remark is that not only dead people fall. Injuries, obstacles and additional things can cause the opponent to fall down. Even if critically injured, a person who was falling down and laying on the floor, could still use a firearm efficiently. This rule purpose is to primarily ensure that the shooter will not “shot and forget”.

Great vid. But i found no difference if i bring the stock over my shoulder or not for weapons check. Is it safe to say, this step is user preference?

Gecko Project pointed out that you might had to tilt your head when keeping the stock on your shoulder. If you bring bring it in closer you'd only have to bring your eyes down on it whilst your head can stay erect and ready to scan or snap towards a possible target. I thought he made a lot of sense there.

Eli is right. But also we have to move and shoot with 2 eyes open. It also makes vision bigger. For example: I'm aiming in the guy to identificate him, but he have a chance to kill me (if he is a threat). Because of my gun and closed eye I won't see him at all. For example he can hold a pistol on the height level of his belt. And I won't probably see it.

It would be a very short training course if they used real guns, especially the Force-on-Force elements... and no student would ever pass!

@@VidarrKerr Simunition is not always available in every country. It's also more expensive than airsoft, less widely available, and still has various H&S concerns and restrictions. Moreover, this training is purely about movements and tactics, so anything that detracts from such things is a detriment to your learning - Simunition generally prompts people to worry about where their shots are landing, rather than focussing on applying the movements. Project Gecko do use Simunition in some of their training courses... but it's not always appropriate for the situation or context, in the same way you'd not use live ball for safety drills.
