Taccom Barrel System...You Need It.

What is the lower and the upper? The lower looks like a Foxtrot Mike to me. Was the feed ramp modified to accommodate the LRBHO?

Originally it was a side charging version. I replaced the barrel, handguard, the Upper for a rear charging ability, the Upper is NBS from AR15Discount. The Taccom barrel had no modification, and the Ballistic Advantage i just got it about 3hrs ago. I'm Cerakoteing it tomorrow. Swedish camo with the craziest color combo around. Please Sub,like,share. I'm trying to hit 1k subs. Once I hit 1K I'm going to Cerakote someone's AR what ever scheme they want. They won't pay a dime. I might even Cerakote two ARs.

I just got my barrel back from Rudy at Macon Armory. Its a Faxon barrel and he remachined the feedcone, with the intention of mine to get it to feed my Speer Gold Dot G3 147 gr 9mm hollowpoints. Let me tell you, it is NOT feeding them. I was almost 100% confident his work was going to fix the feeding issue. Unfortunately, NO...😣😣 I even used an OEM Glock 33 rd mag, & when it tries to feed the round, it feeds it & spins it vertically. I even tried different mags, and all except for one, an OEM Glock 17 mag, is the only mag that will take the rounds & eat them with no problem. But... 115 grain 9mm ball ammo? It gobbles them up with no problem. I'll have to email Rudy back & send him the link to the video I made on my other youtube channel to show him what my AR9 pistol. I'm not trying to disparage Rudy in any way, which is why I'm going to reach out to him first. I'm only hoping there is something he can do to the barrel still to tweak it just a bit more without compromising the integrity of the chamber. I have a way larger supply of Speer hollowpoints than I do ball ammo because I get them for free, which is why its important for me to get this pistol to feed these rounds. In the meantime, I'll keep test firing to see what it does. It will eat and spit out ball ammo with any of the mags I tried. Looks like im going to have to look into this Tac Com. Does it need a dedicated special kind of bolt?

I've had absolutely zero issues with my Taccom. FMJ,HP's,and Subsonic rds. I've built another AR9 and I'm running a Ballistic Advantage EPC - 5.5" barrel. I've not shot it yet,because I'm Cerakoteing it. My 2 shooting buddies both run the BA-EPC barrels, and have had zero issues. I couldn't get a 5.5" from Taccom thats why I went with the BA-EPC series. It actually has a more concave feed cone than my Taccom. Your problem could be an alignment issue. Lock your bolt back and look at the loaded mag,and the position of the round in relation to the feed ramps. Macon makes a mag release that makes the mag sit up higher,to better align round to ramp. The Taccom barrel system uses any 9mm bolt. There is a upper anit- tilt guide. You can run it with or without. If you want to run it, you simply send them your bolt and they machine a top part of the bolt for free. You would just pay shipping to get it there. Mine was done and back to me in 4 days. Not a bad turnaround imo. Let me know how everything works out. If I can answer any more questions, just ask! Stay safe brother..
