How did you draw the panel lines in photoshop? can anyone help?

just paint them in, duplicate the layer and change blending mode to get highlights

Its always a big setback to start this way, best way is to make a sketch of a prototype and make all elements from scratch, using examples of Formula 1 etcetera elements like pipes. By the way, your Tachikoma lacks wheels like in the original.

Judging from the 94 videos they've posted, I assume their workflow works just fine for them
