Tack it method alternative again....after a flopped loctite try

I tried loctite for the tack it method alternative. I know it works, but I need to practice because i completely messed it up. Used metal leafing adhesive for the fix.
I named the glitter Pixie Pink. It can be found at glittergiftsandmore.com

You apply it with a taklon brush because theirs more bristols and they are extremely soft so it won’t leave strokes.

The key to loctite method I have found is #1 light spray wait 6 minutes #2 light spray wait 6 minutes #3 light spray wait 6 minutes then sprinkle glitter then burnish. Then i put 2 light coats of 3x sealer...So far it's been the best way for me.

Thats what i'd like to know...when can i seal it with resin after tacking the flake down? Outdoor textured project collect dirt if not sealed soon.

What do you use to seal your cups? Have you tried the mod podge dishwasher safe, I would still hand wash

Hey you don’t have to apologize for not liking a method. Go with what you like. The Loctite lovers can make their own video. I wish I didn’t have to spray anything ever. There’s drips and bumps and yuck. I can’t wait to try the tack it method.

Tombow mono adhesive. Not the aqua, the kind that dries tacky. I bet it would be a viable alternative to tack-it over and over.

What am I doing WRONG??? When I go to rub it off....I almost RUB MY FINGER PRINTS OFF trying to rub the glitter off! I used half strength glue, the same one that you used...put on a coat, let it dry to clear...applied a 2nd coat and waited about 20 minutes...applied my glitter...and then TRIED to rub it in/off...I eventually get to the HOLOGRAPHIC...but my fingers are NUMB! I’m having to SURUB IT OFF! My cup also still feels TACKY...especially around the top... Help!!! Please!

Definitely no need to dilute. Just tried it over a failed glitter glue alternative tumblr. The metal leaf adhesive went on great as is.

I sprayed the Loctite, glittered, then burnished the glitter flat...I think it was the formula of Loctite I got that didn't work so well, but I'm not sure.

I saw a lady on another video doing tumblers and she said that she uses the Mod Podge paint brush applicator because it doesn't leave streaks. She also said she doesn't recommend foam applicators for that reason.....they leave streaks. They're sold in most craft stores and also on Amazon. Just an FYI :)

Thanks for the info. I did use the other brush on a different cup using this same method, but the damp foam brush has been my fav so far (dry foam brush, not so much, but the damp foam worked amazing). I Love how everybody finds different things that works for them and their own techniques to create their own style.

Your having issue with the brush strokes because the tack it method is 1 to 1 tack it and water.

I know that's what most people prefer and have tried it....i don't care for it. It's too thin and doesn't hold the glitter through burnishing.
