Can't find Tack-it anywhere? Don't want to wait? Skip it! You can use just about any adhesive!
Save your money and experiment with adhesives you already have at home. To achieve the laser effect of holographic glitter it just has to be flat. There is no special adhesive needed to accomplish this.

You are very welcome. The epoxy method is my go to. But I do that a little differently then what I have seen. I don't wait for it to cure or use a torch. I just apply it right away. I'm too impatient lol This method is for those lookin g to cut some time out of their process. It works but personally, I still prefer the epoxy method over this lol

What an awesome and informative KZbinr! I liked and subscribed cause you are the “real mvp” I have a question. Can I spray paint my cup white and or the color of my video so that the glitter is used less and it looks brighter or does this only work on straight stainless steel? Also do you let it dry and then do another coat or would one coat be suffice? Last question how do you clean your glitter brush cause then do you need a brush for each color glitter you use? Hey, thank you :-) You can absolutely spray paint the cup. Actually, its best to do that before any design is added to a stainless steel tumbler. If you do not want to paint the cup its a great practice to at least sand it to give the cup a surface that will grab the materials being applied to it. If you find that one coat works then you are good to go:-) if you feel like you have to do another one I'd let the first completely dry for maybe an hour and then do another. For the glitter brush, I just dust it off. If I get glut stuck to it ill run it under water to clean it and then dry it with a towel. You can also use your finger. It'd be much easier to wipe off your finger anyway lol Thank you again and feel free to ask any questions at any time if more come up :-)

I wait about a minute or two. i test it by touching a small area to see if it has some grab. You don't want it to be wet or dry but someplace in the middle.

Thank you. I tried it with Loctite and at first it appeared to work but if the slightest granule of glitter is free it begins to pull off big chunks. It made be lose confidence that it would remain stable.

keep the confidence! I have not tried it with loctite yet but i have used Krylon spray adhesive . I actually use that over the mod podge and all other methods. You literally just spray on, glitter then brush the glitter off. its super easy

No worries. You can if you like. I find that with the larger glitter a second layer may be required. However, if you have painted a base coat that matches the glitter, you can get away with a single layer.

Any glitter would work. :-) Only the holographic glitter will have this effect though.

These are all sealed with FDA compliant epoxy. They are 100% good safe once cured

Nope. You can use this on just about anything. the only thing to keep in mind is that you must finish the item with a suitable protective layer for its uses. :-)

Yup it works but looks different. You can apply the glitter using this method but it just won't have the laser effect.

Yay! Burnishing is basically rubbing a surface to polish it. In this case, we are rubbing the glitter on the adhesive to make it flat and look polished. 😁

Hi there! New subbie here! I am so new to the whole tumbler cup scene. I have not even tried my 1st one yet! I am on KZbin information overload however! My question to you is... with this method, can I place the decal at this point and then apply epoxy? Or is there another step required? Thank you in advance for your answer. Awesome job BTW!😊

Tha k you and welcome to the channel! As a new tumbler designer (I like that term because it sounds fancy) I'd suggest doing an epoxy coating on top of this. Just so that you don't have to deal with finicky transfer tape pulling up the glitter. If you have a simple decal that you can place on the cup with out tape that would work perfectly and you can skip the epoxy step. 😁
