Tackle Talk Part 2: Seatbox

Part 2: I’ll show you how I organise my Seatbox to save time on the bank, and to ensure I'm only carrying what I really need. I'll also go through my setup and attachments, designed for maximum comfort and efficiency. I also look at safely looking after expensive pole sections on difficult banks and in poor conditions.

Good video. Its interesting to see how we as individuals set our boxes up. I liked the way you have incorporated your spraybar with your keep net bar. I always struggle using the Spraybar with the net bar when putting fish in nets, your way get over this issue. I have some Daiwa accessories bars that i can modify to do similar to what you have done. Great Tip. Cheers

At 1:23 you show your winder tray and you have them in the top also, have you moved the clips to enable this or have you fitted them into the lid? If you fitted them into the lid what materials did you use please?

Hi Vince. The rive winder kits fit straight into the lid as standard without any special adaption. It just allows that additional space to be used. You do need to be careful about bashing the stack though, as they will fall out if given a hard knock. One of the kits left the winders a bit loose, so I needed to pad the spacers out using sticky felt pads to keep the winders in place. It took a bit of messing about so they all held in place, but worth the effort for the extra space.

Hi you know the stacks under your seat will any make fit I want to add some on my box to make my seat a little higher or do they have to be rive ones?

Hi Jake. Only Rive or Guru Rive (they are both the same) will fit. Rive trays are not cheap, but they have stood the test of time - some of mine are over 15 years old so worth investing in. Do have a look on eBay though - I’ve bought loads of second hand trays and stacks for a reasonable prices over the years.
