You mentioned cope marine you're closer to us than we thought. We recently purchased our first boat near Pawnee, IL and we are happy with it. 2005 Skeeter tzx195 with a Yamaha Vmax 150 2 stroke on the back. My father in law has an 04 Crestliner with a 60hp four stroke and he loves it.

If you raise the motor up some, the drain plug area will drain the oil into a container without running anywhere on the lower unit. Cool feature. I have a 60hp.

I Always make a filter tray out of a soda bottle, but that little tray is awesome....gonna find me one of them. Also, some oil drains are in terrible spots and always make a mess so depending what outboard someone has, they can use tubing or even make a tray or funnel with some cardboard or tin foil

Just add a little at a time and check the dipstick.

I use an extractor vs draining the oil so much cleaner and drains most of the oil when it comes time to remove the filter very little oil drips
