-Prevent over tweaking mainly EQing by just eqing the necessary. What the most important thing is you use elements that are already good enough. The danger with over tweaking is your ears will get fatigued, my rule with music is never make music for more than two hours (Take breaks). -My secret to never get a writers block is by working in concepts: use other tracks as a reference to how you want your track to sound. lets say your concept doesn't work out it's as easy as writing down two sentences 'I want my track to sound like this and this" then u have a brand new idea you can work with. -What's most important is to have fun! If it becomes a chore and something you have to do or takes really long and you feel un inspired then you should let it go. Some of my most successful tracks were just sessions that instantly came (working longer doesnt always mean better) -Know your gear, there is nothing more that stops your creativity than not knowing how to make a sound not knowing how to compress - not knowing this plugin u want to use right now and its not doign what u want, so it is good to take some time out read manuals and stuff and really get to know the plugins you're working with. This way everything will keep flowing and you can stay creative. -Don't get stuck in a loop and If you feel like you're getting stuck skip it go to another section of the track just go and work on the synths or effects for a little whiel and return after and you'll see with some fresh air everything will be fine and everything can keep on moving. -make sure you FINISH your tracks , I know it sucks when you feel like you don't have a good loop and still need to finish the track. This should be a motivation to get out of the loop and get more into arranging and this is where you'll find some creative freedom aswell. -Go and give yourself BREAKS, nothing is worse than having fatigued ears and with those type of ears you can't hear anything anymore and you wont be able to finish anything anymore. some of my notes

I can definitely relate to taking breaks as an important thing! I always get my best ideas when i go to get a cup of coffee and just chillin' at a café letting my mind breathe a bit. Café, Music in my ears, Looking at people around me while sipping on my cup of coffee=Succes. IMO the break is THE most important thing, but it is also important not to overdo it.

i start with 8 bar melody or a bassline, then i add stuff add more... when i have the loop i go off... open the project later and if sound good then i EQ it... while im lisen too the loop the concept is happening naturaly in my mind (because of special powers) go off.. make 2 or 3 projects like this... and every time i open it if sounds good then i start arranging and the finished song happen really quickly... because if the loop is good the arrangin is basically adding stuff and taking out
