Tbh, these fast food places keep coming out with these "ghost pepper" products but most of them aren't even hot or no where near a habenro (I understand that they have to make the food editable , but at least make it hotter then a habenro

+Tom M Also you do semi adapt to them as you are eating. I make home made tacos all the time, hard shell and with the taco seasoning in the mince, hotsauce and the lettuce, tomato, cheese, salsa and etc. I make them all the exact same so same ingredients, yet the first might blow my head off. But then the next ones will have a decent heat and not make my head blow off each time. Some times the heat almost goes away. However I do know it is still there since I accidentally rubbed my eye once with hotsauce on my fingers. OUCH! But I do have a high tolerance to spicy food. I just LOVE the stuff!

+ZeliardFTW That's sort of the opposite of what most experience. The more you eat something spicy the hotter it gets. I had three ghost peppers and each one got spicier as I went along. However, they are very weak considering they use the term ghost pepper! You can build up a resonance so each time you can eat more without it being a bother. Trust me, try eating any peppers plain, and don't tell me they don't intensify as you go along. A lot of people do just fine with the first bite but eating one after another gets more difficult. If you "semi adapt" to them that quickly, then you should look into professional pepper-eating competitions.

me and my friends did a challenge with the ghost pepper burritos from a new jersey taco bell and inside them was just red flavorless paste. there was 0 spice and we had to dump at least 7 of there hottest hot sauce packets just to get some kick out of them

When I first tried these I ordered 4 ghost pepper ones not expecting them to be as large as they were, was also surprised by the weight of the bag... 2 of mine were pretty spicy (coming from somebody who drinks hot sauce for fun sometimes) and the other two were just mild... I think next time I'll ask for some extra sauce on the side, it would be worth the 30 cents they probably would charge me... Also love the double-fist action there at 9:00 (ooh la la?)

Look at a McDonalds burger wrapper. It shows about 4 different items, but it is up to what way they wrap it, that it shows the current thing. Saves on money for them I guess. Also they are going to dilute the heat or an actual ghost pepper etc would knock most peoples socks off. It is mainly about the flavor and enough heat.

it depends deeply on the location, how busy they are, etc... but my tine eating all 3 (Twice) has been, Chipotle was mild, Habanero was hot, and Ghost Pepper was Mild... Mild as the Chipotle. As I posed this discovery to the clerk at the time (first time) it was confirmed by the workers, the Ghost pepper sauce was lacking. So ya I was disappointed with the Ghost pepper. Mind you i LOVE Habanero peppers so it was good for me. (its late for me so bad sentences I know)
