The stick on deflector eventually will collect water inside I think the the high profile might be better Any suggestions?

Did that install with double sided tape stay and was it the preferred?

Yes it stayed on good. I actually cut my hard pretty good in the process of taking it off because the plastic snapped. So if you ever take it off, be careful!
