For everyone stating the clear bumpers go on the deflector itself, the instructions state put them ON THE PAINTED AREA. Sometimes, the plastic isn't perfect, and one side may be closer to the paint. Mine is roughly 1-2cm closer on the passenger side than the driver. It would be the smart move to place them ON THE PAINTED AREA so the deflector hits that and not the paint. Even with a bumper on the deflector you would still have an impact, which defeats the purpose.

Still have to drop my hood after adjusting hood stops.

I go back and forth on getting one for my white 21 off-road, I think the black would go good with the rest of the black on my truck 🤔

I bought an AVS Hoodflector off of Amazon and put it on my white 2019 Sport that came with the black-out package. It doesn't deflect bugs worth a crap but it looks good on the truck. I should have tried this Bugflector II from Tacoma Lifestyle. Everything I've bought from them has been great.

Will it stand up to an automatic car wash?

Why risk a 100$ bug deflector for a 20$ auto car wash with sprinting brushes. No doubt will stand up to an automatic spray wash but the ones with the brushes specifically say not for use with aftermarket vehicle accessories ie roof racks, window visors, hood deflectors… even a roof rack can catch the brushes and do damage 😊

Those protective bubbles are supposed to go on the inside of the bug deflector, not on your paint/hood.🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️
@pavy782 жыл бұрын
That’s incorrect. If you put them on the deflector, they’ll wear a spot on your paint with the deflector bouncing off the hood a billion times due to wind. The dots go on the hood to absorb and stop anything from rubbing/vibrating against the paint.

@@pavy78 no they wont. I've had this on many cars and trucks. Never had marks. I guess if you have a lot of people leaning up against your vehicle then maybe that might be an issue but if that's the case then I think you have bigger issues than that. I've never had rubbing issues not from the wind and I drive very fast sometimes. I'm not going to specify but we'll just leave it at very fast. Trust me these things are not going to hit your hood unless somebody sitting on it or pushing on it.
