Great footage Timur! I haven't been down to Tacoma for years; I caught a few of their engines responding back in the day, but never managed to get a truck.

Thanks man! Could be worth a little day-trip. They’re quite busy over there! :)

0:52 I love that siren man!! I grew up with that one blocks down the street - it's a shame they're moving to whelen now.

Nice looking tiller but I got to ask why are you using an electronic siren that sounds like an ambulance or cop car? I was a Captain in the SF Bay Area and I would never use anything but a manual siren. I can’t see why people prefer electronic? Each to their own.

If you’re still in the area, could you do one from Auburn, WA? The station in Lea Hill might be busy Friday-Tuesday because another storm front is arriving. I heard a few yesterday and today, and it was windy, so it will repeat. Btw, how do you know these stations will have an emergency?
@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses4 жыл бұрын
These clips were filmed in 2018, but I have already uploaded some footage from Auburn. Have you seen this video ➡️ kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpKUpKZjmNVjp6M Most of the time I don’t know when a station gets a call, about from the obvious signs (firefighters running to the trucks, tones going off, or gates going up). In Tacoma I think I was able to use the PulsePoint app to see when a call had come in.

Are fire companies moving away from the classic Q siren?
@TGGGlobalEmergencyResponses3 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily. Fire departments have different preferences. Some find it cheaper to maintain electrical sirens, while others are sticking to the Q.
