For a naturally aspirated engine you want a smaller pipe or small enough so that it clears the cylinders quick.

Without tuning these mufflers are just noise makers. I actually like quieter tone especially driving longer distances. That drone would drive me crazy.

Had a 3 inch y pipe made for my 2nd gen and a resonated straight pipe off the y and it sounds insane. Definitely would recommend getting a larger y pipe

Looks like the same exhaust as the MBRP, the diff. Is the tip is coming out the opposite side of the muffler. Also sounds the same to me. That's just my opinion.

Twonz. When u had the MBRP turn down installed did u have a vibration feel coming thru the floor? Had mine installed now for week and at highway speeds especially the floor rumbles.

I didnt want the turn down just because of where it ends...i feel there would be a hell of a lot of noise...the new one makes me a lil nervous just because even though its a side exit is really close to the cab...at idle just sittin there for long... carbon monoxide issues possible. I have the mbrp black performance series side exit...on my 2020 Sport...i really like it...and it doesnt bother me at highway speed...my tire noise bothers me more lol...ur new one has a great sound too. Have a good one!

No need to drink and drive. Should be plenty of carbon monoxide entering the cab to make the trip more enjoyable.

Carbon monoxide makes up only a tiny percentage of the total emissions from an exhaust. When a gas (such as carbon dioxide, which makes up the majority of the combustion emission) is released into another gas (in this case, our atmosphere) it disperses instantly, and the two gases readily mix (gas molecules travel very fast). That means the carbon dioxide and monoxide from your exhaust will both become very, very dilute, to somewhere around the normal CO2 and CO levels of our atmosphere, soon after leaving the exhaust pipe. That's about 0.04% mass, for just CO2 alone, and 0.00003% for CO. Add that to the fact that, when you're driving, the air is moving past your vehicle much quicker, and will remove exhaust gases from the vicinity even quicker. The carbon monoxide will have no effect on your health, unless it is continuously poured directly into the closed cabin with you; then the gas cannot disperse into the atmosphere so easily (so the level will increase to a potentially dangerous or lethal amount). The only other case is if you're in China, where the atmospheric pollution is actually a real problem (but then again, carbon monoxide is not the reason the smog in China is bad for your health). So don't worry about this exhaust creating health problems! (source of info: I'm a senior in college, getting a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, so this is just second-nature to me.)
