Circular saws are really good and better for cutting metal tubes and pipe but you have to get a cold cut saw. It has slower RPMs and better blades. I use a band saw for alot of decorative trims, small pieces and angles, and flat stock

If I understand well vehicle will be used for longer family trips... so why you want it loud then? One muffler will make wonders. Also someone comments that rear end should follow body and I agree it would be more beautiful also one curve as tdi originally have at the end will make difference between clean and messy body. Otherwise I am amazed how many small things you are willing to do so the quality of final product is on top level. Bravo!
@MussaKZN3 жыл бұрын
Straight through no muffler! I tried that on my 3L.1KZ TD its way to loud ! Come to think about it I might put that section back in !! Ha Good job as always Austin 90% of my tradie mates wouldn’t even attempt this job.

Hey man really happy for you, getting to use the new 2 post lift. You must be loving it! I don't know if you've done it already, but a bit of a tour of the garage, inside outside, how you got to where you are would be neat. BTW, your channel is the first one I eagerly wait for the next video and watch it immediately when it comes up. Keep it up!!

Austin, I've followed you build with great interest. You have remarkable skills. Your shop is impossibly clean. Your sock drawer must be a thing to see. Have you considered doing a Cummins 2.8 in something like an 'FJ 40? Great channel.

I like the idea of using a belt sander to square the cuts up, definitely on the hunt for one now. I regret getting a chop saw instead of a band saw after making a set of down pipes for my tdi Touareg.

Hey man! I just discovered your channel the other day. I will tackle a toyota build with this much detail one day. Watching you build your exhaust and other tubing I see you using a file to deburr your pipe after the band saw. You should look into getting a swiveling deburring tool. It's really quick and easy to use. Noga is a good company to get them from. They make blades for different materials. They will make a much more clean and uniform edge break once you get the hang of using it. I'm a machinist by trade and use one almost every day.
