All I can do is watch this with a smile as I'm sure most other Taco owners are. Good work.

Nice truck and good video! Looks like you were having a blast, I also love taking my Fj out before the roads are plowed. On Valentines day a few weeks back I pulled a Jetta out of a roadside ditch on snow covered and icy roads at 1:00 am with -18F wind chills. Just put it in 4lo rear diff locked and A-trac on, hauled his ass right out lol.

Thanks! Gotta love drifting around the corners in 4wd in the deep snow. Lots of fun! I try and rescue ppl as well, but strangely haven't had to give anyone a yank this whole winter. Kind of odd actually. Judging by your avatar you're into wheelin your FJ, thats cool! I'll have to check out some of your vids.

Due North Most of my vids are with wife and kids in tow lol, not real hardcore but had fun none the less. The crazy stuff I did is not on film.

lol thanks man, although truth be told, i'm ready for spring now. I wanna get camping and wheeling on the trails again. And pretty excited to finally get my own atv, probably around April.

we'll i'm pumped to see some wheeling and ATV'ing videos, maybe some camping videos too?
@duenorth62769 жыл бұрын
Oh for sure, I plan on showing the camp setups and dogs while out on the trail. There's some great spots to camp right off of the many lakes located around up north. Can't wait for spring to come, i'm pretty sure trails open up around end of april, beginning of May for trucks and atvs...

I miss my FJ Cruiser(with 3" lift kit and swamp tires). I never got stuck. I couldn't go through 4 ft. snow drifts, but it backed out and turned around like a champ.

I love those FJ Cruisers as well, too bad Toyota discontinued building them. Hopefully they'll bring back an FJ40 look-a-like, i'd be all over that in a heart beat.

hey! I was just wondering what your thoughts were on the duratracs and how they are in the snow. highly considering these tires. also have you ever ran any bfg all terrains just wondering how they compare. thanks!
@duenorth62769 жыл бұрын
+Parker Wirl I haven't personally ran BFG All-Terrains but honestly, you can't go wrong with either of these two. I love the Duratracs personally, i think they work great during the winter months, especially icy road conditions. They also work fairly well in offroad conditions with the tires aired down some. Just gotta be careful with their sidewalls. All in all tho, both tires are really great and i think you'd be happy with either of them. Just a heads up tho, you will get a bit more "road noise" coming from them since they do have fairly aggressive tread blocks. Hope this helps.

What are your thoughts on the new Tacoma?
@duenorth62769 жыл бұрын
Maybe it'll grow on me in time, but at first glance i really don't like the look of it. 4wd system will be interesting with the CRAWL functions and it has a couple other goodies but when it comes right down to it, i don't see myself upgrading to a new one anytime soon.

Why can't the Western US get some storms like this ... I'm hat'in these temps in the 12.7c range we're dealing with ... AND the lack of snow !!! Looked like a fun drive !! WOO HOO !!!!
@duenorth62769 жыл бұрын
Thanks Gunny! It was definitely a fun drive. Felt like i was driving rally truck for awhile there. lol Tell ya the truth tho, I'll trade our -10 (c) for your +12 (c) right about now. Getting a little sick of all the snow/ice and sub zero temps from the past few months and really starting to look forward to spring now.
