Great video, however many people have put 40-50lbs of luggage on both the KTM and husqvarna for tens of thousands of miles with no issue. But no one mounts it back that far(except that guy in the pic I guess) most coyote bags sit just on the back of the seat so Its more like rider weight than luggage.

Mousse tubes? I would have thought on an adventure bike you would have gone with HD tubes, in case you have to hit the highway? Don't mousse overheat? PS: I just got some stuff from you, thanks for the root beer candies! :)

Hi, Your still running the standard foot pegs. Any reason you not running wide pegs. It’s one of the first things I recommend for a lightweight adv bike that your going to be standing up most of the day on.

I see you wrapped some foil heat shield around the exhaust where it is in close proximity to the rear spring. Do you see heating of the rear spring/shock to be an issue?

I am too short for stock KTM 500 EXC. I know you can lower the suspension, but does that defeat the characteristic of original setup?

Hi, is the 16 corked up with reeds in air box? Is stock exhaust good for power or restricted?

@distilledfreedom1840 2 days ago (edited) I've a 2015 fe 501 with 40 hours. I'm a pretty conservative rider, fast gravel roads, two track, but long distances. Looking to make it last. I've heard that I should actually be running it at high rpms due to more compression when the pistons are slow. Anyone know if that's false or? Also I've heard that it being in stock form, corked that it will run hotter lowering it's longevity.

Yes. True North Motos makes it. I have 8,000 miles on mine with no issues.

Crank bearing have never been an issue w the Austrian bikes

Does the headlight set up still have hi and low beam?

@7arsenal The Moto Minded XL Pro kit on my ‘17 FE450 still functions high and low… however the high beam Indicator stays on for BOTH settings. 🍻
