I saw the one before where people were giving you a hard time for not “trying” to find who all that stuff went to and try to get their personal effects back to them. If they wanted their personal effects they should have emptied the locker before they decided to stop paying for it. They do have that option. Nice finds in this locker. $5 was a great buy. The furniture piece at the end / console table actually looked like it might be good quality but someone had painted it black and silver to match their decor. I kinda liked it. Paint it white, distress it, and you could easily sell it for $150 at the flea market. Give it to your furniture friends.

You can get glasses pretty cheap now days. If you go to the eye doctor and get your prescription, you can buy them online. I use zenni optical. I can get a set of glasses with the lenses for as cheap as 5 dollars and they’ll have a much bigger selection than a eye doctors office who will only have a small selection for Medicade and fedelis customers. I ended up paying 35 dollars for 2 sets of eye glasses. They do take about 3 weeks to arrive since they only ship first class usps. And you do have to measure the width between your pupils. They fit just as good as if they were fitted at the doctors office.

So easy to find replacement cords for the electric fry pan. The print from Kmart is unique, the artist paints things in the picture that would be out of place and out of time. For instance, you would never have the 4 people in the picture in the same room at the same time. Elvis, Marilyn, James Dean...etc. there might be a laptop in the picture, not even invented till after Marilyn was dead.

So my questions would be: 1 - How do you find out where those abandoned lockers are? 2- How do you buy them? And 3 - Where can you sell that clutter stuff to make money off of it? I think I would be donating to thrift stores to get rid of the excess stuff. But you got some great furniture and a few other things for $5! Can't beat that with a stick.

@ 9:20 Those are the feet/legs for the couches. You often have to take them off to fit a sofa through a door. So they left them off until they moved into another home and could get their stuff out of storage. That's why there's a screw driver and screws in the bags as well. It's to reattach the legs.

Those toy cars in the first box were your money back and then some. That cane is technically a walking stick - no hook/handle. just a knob; it's got biker written all over the design. The wire to that frying pan was in the bag of cords; it ought to be with the pan, but people do weird things. The Texaco truck bank - check underneath for something that may open with a key; double-checked that model on line; there's a keyhole in the bottom. The picture is Elvis, Marilyn and James Dean. And just to run on some more, probably preaching to the choir, but check the couches for loose change. You might even find enough to pay for the locker.

Not as a rule, we run a storage and we want to get as much as we can for the unit there has to be good stuff to get interest. Once you have been in the business long enough you don't want any of the stuff and trying to sell it is a pain. And I would much rather not have to clean the unit out as you say, for sure. And make the most on the sale of the unit.

As someone who has delivered furniture for a living I would suggest that when you load your van always put the largest items in first. Then you can easily load everything else with little problem.

If you don’t sell the animal carriers, most local humane societies and animal shelters will take them. The light up bar print was so expensive because it had Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, James Dean, and Bogart on it. They need to cover licensing fees. I've worked in nursing homes and long term care places all over SC, and NC family members dump the love one belongings in storage and forget about using the money to pay their bill and end up losing everything. They would just keep the money instead of paying the storage .it's so sad to see. I've watched this happen too often ,so sad.

Thrift stores will take anything you don't want. But if I may make a suggestion to anyone who has unwanted items that are reusable, see if you can find a domestic violence shelter or any other kind of family shelters. A lot of times them women &/or men leave their Very bad situation & they have nothing to start over with & most of the time they have children. Nothing against thrift stores, I love thrifting but A lot of times the thrift stores over charge the public. I've seen things from $ Trees being resold in thrift stores for $2-$3's. I get it that $ goes back into helping less fortunate but they get their things for free but come on, they act like they're retail stores for A lot of their furniture, shoes, clothes, etc... I hope you mind people giving you tips, here is a tip, when loading vans, put in all of the large items first load well, then put all of the other smaller items next, that way you will have plenty of space to load other items in, the reason why i say this is because i used to work with a second hand dealer 46 years ago, i was tought how to load vans

I disagree ….my job put it like this using a back brace your relying on it and your muscles get weaker...when you forget it or don't use it a year of more later your going to get hurt as your body isn't ready FOR THE LOAD YOUR MOVING....I didn't agree and used a brace and 6 months down the road my back couldn't take the pallets I moved every day.

Our couch one of the zippers on the cushions pulled out. When we went to get a new couch, I had a friend help me sit it out by the road with a FREE sign on it. He told me nobody would take it. I said watch. He went with us to get the new couch and as we came back I asked him is something missing and he said yes, the couch. That was before Craigslist too. Instead of holding onto couches until trash day, set them one at a time out along the road with a free sign on them and put a pic and notice on Craigslist FREE section. You'd be surprised how fast things disappear.

I agree, u could have a working electric skillet if u match up the bag full of cords to the crock pot & skillet. That couch set looks like it was very nice until it was damaged by water leaks. The Maisto Harley bike goes with the Maisto Harley-branded Ford Pickup...and should fit into the bed. If it doesn't, they a just paired...! When it comes to packing a van, you should pack the big stuff first, filling up any usable spaces with smaller stuff...before packing any mid-sized or awkwardly shaped items such as lamps etc. in...! The way you pack a van, sometimes reminds me of someone I know...who could fill a van only with about a quarter of what I could fit in...!

The cars were the coolest finds in there. The problem is monster-sized furniture that has mold and has to be taken to the dump. And gigantic home media pieces that nobody wants anymore when they just mount a flatscreen on a wall. We've de-cluttered our living rooms in the last decade, to be sure.

Those square pillows goes on one of those couches! Please donate the couches and anything you don't want, even hangers! There's a LOT of people who cannot afford to buy things anymore, the prices in stores have went up by about 25%!!! Nice unit👍

That picture with Elvis - all of the people are famous! It looks like there's a box on the back for batteries...probably lights up. That checkbook may be the owner of the storage unit if you want to locate them to give them their pictures That black cabinet would be a good tv stand, etc. Wish I had it! LOL

We got rid of 4 pretty good tires (snow tires but no longer had the car that they fit) by putting them in the front yard by the road with a "free" sign. A couple hours later and they were gone. Better than paying a disposal fee.
