Chris Gaines. Brooks became a “country” singer after failing at rock ‘n roll. While there are a million outrageously good and anonymous (outside of their industry circles) musicians in the bands that back the singers, the music is generally childishly simple. It takes those fantastic anonymous backing musicians to use their considerable talents to make it sound acceptable.

Its wild because there really was a week or two where people didnt know who tf Chris Gaines was and everybody thought he was some newcomer who came out of nowhere.
