Same issues!!! My Tactacam was working fine, then 30% battery and radio silence!!! Changed the batteries over the weekend, test pics were fine. Hung it, and left. Not a peep again! Now I have to drive 5 hours round trip to check it again. Never again with Tactacam.

Yep. When it goes under 50% charge, it might keep taking photos, but it doesn't transmit them and doesn't check in. I call that an engineering failure.

Yeah Michael, I agree I’ve had nothing but problems with mine. It’s aggravating I switch to the Moultrie edge so far so good, good luck this year.

Mine is two years and counting and I use it to watch my deer trails and after season it watches my equipment around my house. Fixing to order another one. Gonna try out the defender

I started using Tactacam two years. I started with two. Added two more few months later. Just added the 3.0 and defend security camera to the package. No issues. I just added Tactacam solar panels.

I’m dealing with Reveal customer service right now. They are horrible. 2 of my 7 cameras took on water within 6 months. I sent them in to Reveal and they said they couldn’t repair them…so they destroyed them and advised me that they wouldn’t be returned. I was never advised of that either prior to sending them in. Even though the cameras were 6 months old, Reveal said they would not honor the warranty because I “submerged” them in water. Junk customer service, junk equipment and I’ll never use them again.

I've had 4 cameras over the last 4 years,no issues.Sold them to buy 4 new xpros,in the field 1 month and camera goes down when I retrieved it moisture inside,sent it in not covered under warranty, will be getting rid of the other 3 after the season

I have 2 Tactacam cell cameras been good but one getting foggy inside the camera lense but still works good. I also have a muddy cell camera been doing good so far thanks for the video.

Tactacams are overrated and extremely overhyped. They’re junk. Just hit the market at the right time just before the market flooded with them for options, at a price point that was unseen in the field yet. Hence their explosion and “popularity”. I have 10 I’ll sell soon. I only use Blackgate trail cameras. Amazing camera for the price and best priced plans there is.

Between me and my dad we have over 40 tacticams and I think over the years we have had two that has had issues… never had any water issues with any of them!! I actually had one in a flood and I got it and set it out in the sun to dry out and it worked just fine 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just bought the Tactacam and hoping it works out for me. Not that you should have to but put the camera in a bag of rice for a week and see if it draws the moisture out and gets it working again? Just a thought...

I had one got water in it,killed it.Just checked on one this mourning,fried,lightening got it Saturday.I ts was fried you could smell the electrical.I replaced it with another one I had now it won't take pics.Two of my others are working fine.I will be looking for another brand.

Haven't run into that with Tacticam, but my non cell WildGames will leak during rain storms. So far it seems like only one has had problems but I do notice the cases are the same.

I’m in first season with Tactacam and so far very good but you’d expect that from new cameras. Moultrie was the worst I’ve had and the best I’ve ever owned were my old Cuddebacks. Like everything else some guys swear by Dodge, some Ford, and others GM. Every brand has quality control issues

I have had about 15 of the reveal cameras. The only one I have had problems with is the new Reveal Pro. There is a bug in the app that will not allow it to keep the Lithium cartridge settings on the 3 pro X cameras that I have. They all revert back to just the lithium AA battery setting each day. I also have a brand-new Pro X that after it sends the check in picture to your phone the camera seems to shut off and will not send anymore pictures other than a forced picture you can make the camera take. No motion picture will be sent to your phone no matter what you try. very frustrating. Trying to get in touch with their service department is like winning the lottery, good luck. Would like to send this piece of junk back to them if I could ever get in touch to get a return authorization.

That’s too bad. I’ve had mine for two years now and haven’t had any issues with it since the first time I hooked it up. I haven’t even had to touch it in the last two years.

Yeah. I'm done with Tactacam too after 2 years. They keep making excuses on their Facebook page that it's the battery, SIM card, or SD card. I stopped having problems for a while after buying their lithium battery. But I still have problems with not checking in or transmitting photos when the battery gets under 50%. I don't consider that a good excuse. It should work anyhow. Also, the antenna is very fragile and will break off eventually.

My experience has been hit and miss - mostly miss. Around 3 years ago I had one that could no longer find the cellular service and Tactacam eventually sent me a new camera (newer model even). Since then I have had 3 more with various issues (black-&-white only, cellular dead and 1 was totally dead). They only replaced the newest 1. Of the 6 Tactacam Reveal cameras that I have left, 3 of them work pretty well in their current locations. However, 2 of them constantly false trigger even with the sensitivity set to 1 (which is useless since it doesn't trigger until my big body is a few feet from it). They pass the closet test and will mostly work if there are no shadows or trees within 50 feet but are fairly worthless in the variety of locations that I have tried them. I only went with Tactacam Reveal for the instant pictures (using them for security). My Cuddeback Cuddelink cameras hardly ever false trigger. I have had several of the Cuddelinks for over 3 years.

I would definitely consider going with a different camera. I have had nothing but trouble with mine and Reveal refused to honor the 1 year warranty on 6 month old cameras because the cameras were “submerged” according to them👎

Just went through the same exact situation with my camera and Tactacam customer service. Rain water came in through the antenna port. Unit is 14 months old, no warranty. Total horse #@!$!!

Unless they turn it back on the gps won’t update. They do not run an internal lithium battery with their gps system so as soon as you shut the camera off or take the batteries out the gps is useless. They don’t tell you that though

I have a lot of multree edge cameras for sale that all work o.k. I switched to the tactacams I have six pros and six x cams love every one of the have the full years unlimited plan pay them 1200 all at once for the whole year and do not have a single compaint buy the lithium power pack and the solar panel you will not have to check on your cameras for 2 years or more. DONT use cheap assss batterys. Multree was using batteries every 3 weeks and then be dead. that is why i swithed my camers are 375 to 575 miles from my home location.

I guess im lucky I use spypoint brand cell cams, had em out 2 years and no problems. I paid for a year of unlimited pics, so off season, i put one on my driveway (I work 6pm till 6am) and even put the other in the garage when i had a problem mouse 😂. I ended up busting the mouse with a .22. And those are the cheaper end of the spectrum i believe.

Tactacam has the absolute worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with … save yourself a headache, don’t buy anything from this company…there are far better cameras and certainly much better customer service.

Try dealing with Spartan.....it'll be 3 or 4 days before they call you back ! $300 cameras and poor azz service !!!
