My X Pro's will only detect motion of a human or deer sized animal out to about 60 feet. You right about the cartridges. I wish the solar panels would charge the lithium. cartridges.

Mine pick up squirrels and birds, sometimes. Seems to depend on lighting and temperature. Overall, pretty good cameras still.

Thank you for this video especially about the plan you use and the cost of HD videos & photos, you are the only one I’ve found to share anything on this subject of the charges on HD videos & photos. I just bought 2 of the XPro’s I’m still unclear on the how’s why’s and wherefore’s 😊 on this subject, but it’ll come, I hope, lol. My sights are set on coyote. Thank you again 😊

I have had mine for a while ,for some reason it will not trigger .I moved it to the same place where I had my old one that got hit by lightning.I use this for security on my driveway.Will replace it with the X,not impressed...

@@FourDRanch My pro went back to working fine now ,put new batteries and deleted the pics.I do have it on a 12volt battery.I had my X got hit by lightning last week,fried the board.Talked to tactacam they said I could send them the broken unit and that I could get a X-pro for a little over $100 bucks.Some promotion they are doing.So got one on the way.

How about rechargeable AA batteries? Better when multiple cameras share a single unlimited plan. Think that is how Cutteyback works.

They would probably work fine. My cameras are pointed at feeders and get a lot of movement. I am moving all to solar panels with rechargeable 12v feeder batteries. And also using a HERD 360 solar panel with built in lithium batteries. It’s awesome, but also $130!

@@FourDRanch My cameras would be for security. Expect to be away from the property for weeks at a time and with no neighbors to watch on things, I would rely on the cameras. Because they are for security, I won't want solar panels and am interested in the no glow cameras. Thanks

Does the camera need to be in an area where cell service is available to send pics/vids to your phone? Some of our hunting areas do not have cell service.

Yes it does; either ATT or Verizon. But in my experience even if I cannot get a cell signal on my phone, these cameras can usually get a bar or 2. I guess because the larger antenna. I also have 1 with an extension antenna up on a 10, pole, it works where I do not have a signal on my phone.

I got two Reveal X Pro cams recently and love them! Easy to setup and the app works great. Time will tell on battery life. Lithium batteries aren't cheap. Going to setup the solar panel on them eventually.

My Pro is running 2 months on the Tactacam solar panel. I just bought the Herd 360 solar panel and will be doing a video review on that one soon. It’s much larger and should last a year or more!

I just got my the Tactacam solar panel hooked up to one of my Reveal Pro cams this past weekend, and its showing 100% battery now so we will see how long it lasts for and if the sun contact can keep it going or not. I think I am going to give the Herd 360 panel a try on my other Reveal X Pro cam. Thanks for the recommendation.

I believe that setting is called check in. It sends pictures to check in and let you know it’s working. You can turn it off in the settings.

I contacted Tactacam support and they said the GPS will work as long as the camera is on and connected to the server. So if remove the SIM card it will not work.

about half way thru when you talk about deer shying away from the camera. After replaying the video maybe it was a Texas bug in the bush.??? It stopped near the end of the video.
