The fact that Baerskin terminated their sponsorship with you speaks volumes. Enough to convince me to not buy one of these hoodies. Thank you for being honest.

Is this a review or a clown car video? It's cool to show us a long list of what stuff you have packed in the pockets, but what about the friggin hoodie??? I learned nothing about it. Is it warm, Is it too warm? how's the fit? is it comfortable? is it as thick as advertised? Is it as wind proof as advertised? Is it water resistant without the rain jacket? How adjustable is the hood without a baseball cap? How well do the wrist closures work? If I had hired you to review the product I'd fire you too!

Amazing video, I’m a gear head so I like these type of vids. Just a recommendation, don’t use deet unless in an emergency. I use parakito myself. It’s much safer and deet has been known to be a carcinogen and bad for environment too. Also instead of toilet paper I use wet wipes. It’s multi use, you can use to wipe hands after eating and also good to clean wounds if need be. Also it’s more compact. Can’t do that with paper.

You are spot on. DEET was introduced during the Vietnam era because of shortages of citronella. DEET was found to be AS effective as an alternative insect repellent - but since it also kills you and melts your CASIO watchstrap in the meantime, I'd go with the citronella.

@@CuttingBoardRx I can do a hour long video of wet wipes uses. I’ll list a few and depending on brands, I’ve seen people tie few of em together to make makeshift bandages, I’ve seen people wear em around their head like bandana to cool off in hot AZ summer, use it as shower replacement on hot day hike, use it to tie tents pegs, can use to wipe car seats after muddy hike trips, clean knives tools utensils and firearms on trip, some brands can burn well to start fire, wipe down park benches, good for ladies and infants for hygiene. All meanwhile conserving your water(which is most important) and comes in a weatherproof packet of various sizes. Wet toilet paper is basically of no use. I swear I am not a salesman for the wet wipes industry. Haha

Did they at least fix the pockets? I got the original and it was a good jacket except the pocket linings were so thin and see through that anything you put in them immediately ripped a hole in it.

Good info friend. I wade in rivers during the winter and fly fish for steelhead, pretty extreme conditions for most people especially after 8 or more hours on the river. I’ve been looking at this jacket and wondering if it would be a good mid layer.

They made the zipper area so thick on the fleece, it’s very uncomfortable in the chin area when you zip it up all the way. It also makes it nearly impossible to wear two garments zipped together.

Pockets are not tactical, fleece is fleece. If you want fleece shop Walmart , Kohls, Burlington, or Old Navy. If you want tactical shop any of various ballistic plate company’s , or LEO , and military equipment shops If you want tough fleece , look at hunting outlets , Kuii, First Light, or Cabela’s. @@CuttingBoardRx That very well could be why the terminated the sponsorship. I follow tons of people that haven't agreed with the product that they were given to review but non of them gave off a "I don't want to be doing this" and the certainly don't do something like the hot dog thing at the end which was pretty much making fun of the company/product. I am disappointed and wondering how so many reviewers can comment that this is such great product quality, where neither quality nor service exists. They look cool but the military look is all in your imagination, but it's just basic fleece material, no cool technology here, no protection against the rain or snow. No wind protection, not warm at all, you cannot get it wet or it will lose what little insulating factor it might have had. Buying a cheap hoodie will keep you warmer and protected better than this will. It's a good thing they dropped you. They say you're judged by the company you keep, and you don't want to be associated with the Baerskin con artists.
