Random ideas to make music for in case you need some inspiration or hit a blank. You're wondering through an expansive desert, stretching as far as the eye can see in the dead of night. You can't see them yet, but you know that monsters roam these sand dunes at this hour and your best chance is to remain vigilant. Deep in the depths of a sandstone cave where every little sound of slithering, loose sand and falling stones make you jump. The whistling sound of the distant wind blowing past the entrance of the cave miles back. You know this cave hides hazards a plenty, but if you want a chance at surviving. You have to be here. Stranded lost in the whipping winds of a boiling desert in the middle of the day, the sand peppering your skin and the sun frying your brain. Your best hopes of surviving is to just keep going and hope you find any specs of civilisation. Yes ive been playing a desert only hardcore world in minecraft. How did you know? XD (You have no idea how hard it is to find music for these kinda moods. >->)

This would go so well with Generation Zero; You're out in an open field, barely any cover or concealment, and you see a Seeker. It spots you and you take it down and run. You see some machines moving in from the distance, and want to take them on. You prepare to open fire but suddenly a Firebird and a platoon's worth of Hunters come into view along with a Tank and some Runners. You then realize that they have Radioactive ammo. It's not worth the risk and you have to find a way around, so you start crawling around them, hoping they don't see or hear you

Rod sits on the chair with a sigh outside the big office He attempts to smoke, but realizes he has misplaced his lighter. Suddenly, a wooden door whirls open from the other end of the room. "I was just checking in with Beta company in the mess. They said there's movement with the higher ups." Rod Leans forward and extends a cautious hand towards Dana, "You didn't tell them about op, right?" Dana shrugs, "No, I follow orders. They said not to disclose any detail to anyone except those involved." Rod crosses his arms and bites his lip as Dana takes a seat in front of and faces him. "You seem a little unedged. What's up? The mission was textbook, and it wasn't even the most difficult one we did." "Maybe that's it then." "What, were you hoping to get caught in the explosion?" "Maybe, maybe not." "Do I need to be worried?" "No, it's just, I got a weird feeling." Rod looks up, "Did this op feel a little too easy to you?" "Maybe we're just that good. That's why we were picked for it." "When the shots where coming, they weren't exactly sharp, were they?" "Like a bunch of newbies." "When we planted the transmitter, it seemed like security was awfully light? I mean, considering the supposed radioactive ordinance in the basement that we didn't see." "The boss lady upstairs said we couldn't because of risk of contamination." "They couldn't send us in with hazmat suits? If it was so important-" "Why bother if we weren't supposed to clear the basement anyway?" "Dana, stop. Just think for a moment." The merc takes a shallow breath and gestures for rod to continue. "So, boss sends two of the squad on a dark mission, no hazmat suits, we put a transmitter on the ground floor above the radioactive weapons cache we didn't see, we make our way out with little effort, the security is so light that they couldn't hit the side of a barn with a shotgun, and the explosion size from the drone strike is relatively small for the target?" Dana slowly forms a confused frown as the pieces come together, "What's your point?" Rod glances at the black office door. "How did Ms. Baltimore find out about the cache?" "She didn't say much in the briefing. I guess the weapons left a trail?" "So we don't know HOW we found out about the target we never saw? Interesting." "So it's need to know. It wouldn't be the first time." "Have you heard from Echo squad since a few days before?" Dana almost laughs, "The new guys? of course not. I don't have the patience for..." As her voice trails off, Rod stares at her coldly. "... I mean, You know I'mn not good at remembering new faces. " "Dana." "Rod, come on man." "It was dark tonight." Dana stands up as a shiver goes down her spine, "Stop." Rod pulls out his phone from his pouch "On my way out, I ran into one of the guards. I got him in the throat with the knife. His eyes... well I put him down on the floor and he traced something in the dirt before he died. A symbol. It against regs, but I thought it looked familiar so I took a picture of it. I've been thinking about it since exfill." Dana's lips quiver a little, "Why? What symbol?". She snatches the phone out of Rod's hand with no protest. "It...almost looks like..." Rod looks at the company logo on Baltimore's office door "What do you say we take our leave before the meeting?"

Okay, so I've been listening to your stuff for a while (never realized you made Oscar Mike until recently!), and I'm wondering if you've got any tips for making tactical music? Ambient or action, any specific tricks, sounds, etc. you find helpful? Been trying to make some myself for a soundtrack, but its a genre that has given me endless trouble.
