This is THE single biggest ergonomic improvement to an 870 that can be made with the exception of a proper length of pull stock. The ability to be able to take the weapon off “safe” and access the trigger almost instantly is a tremendous performance boost and keeps one from having to fumble with the tiny factory hunting safety when fine motor dexterity goes out the window during a life or death situation.
