I had a discussion with a guy yesterday who said after 5 hours he got bored because he'd done 'everything'. I 'm also 300 hours in and every few days I learn a new thing which means I might as well start again. Yesterday, I found out stuff about berries that I didn't know and also discovered that I can turn the Royal Tax off, so I've started a new map today

Thank you! This was information i was really looking for. Just started playing this game 2 weeks ago and struggled with food. As i did not to expect this game to min-max or make most efficiënt layouts to work. For me the brando layouts etc are cool but less realistic so i was trying a more random city. But it becomes hard when u dont know how much food u actually produce. I actually never thought i had problems with the berry and meat collection, with only 1 harvester and hunting cabin as i did see the resource depleated... Now i think i just miss out lots of food.. which is why i end up with a shortage... I still think eggs are weird, realisticly u dont need tons of chickencoops to provide enough.. think backyard extendions should all be yield/size based to a max of 1 morgan in size or so.. 1 egg and it does not matter how big the backyard is weird.. I really like the game, but hope it will change some food mechanics as i dont think it makes much sense that it needs to be placed most efficiënt in order to yield enough to maintain the food production. I did not know about the trading post between your own regions. That is gonna make it a lot easier. . Placed a ton of mules to trade between them Thought it was a weird mechanic too😂. I will try it again, after seeing this information Again thank you for this helpfull guide

Same here. I kept trying to recreate my home town layout but obviously nothing is in the place where it's optimised for the game, so everyone was walking too far to get stuff done properly, which compunded over time. So I figure I actually need to properly get to grips with the game mechanics first and _then_ move on from there. However, I spoke to my dad and he said half the town wasn't there when he was little and the farmland started in the area where they've now built estates, so I need to look at a much older map 👍 (or introduce a bus route)

Be aware that droughts can decimate fish stocks (the pond dries up), farm production and apple/veggie production.

I had a recent game with a rich hunting deposit, and it just wasn't re-populating very fast despite having the policy. Just for grins, I carpet-bombed the game preserve (roughly half forested and half open) with trees over the course of the next two years, and suddenly, I went from needing 1 hunter to keep up to needing 7 (4 camps). Random glitch, or do deer breed faster in thick forests? Also, my last two games, the Marlon Brawndo has developed a fatal error: once I upgrade the burgages to Level 3, cows and people get stuck in the upgraded houses, which snowballs into a traffic jam that cannot be resolved by re-allocating or unemploying the workers involved. The second time, I actually modified the design by making all of the interior roads within the MB double-wide (or even triple-wide for the route facing the granary entrance). The traffic jam still occurred. It's clearly a pathing issue, because obviously cows should not be trying to walk through the middle of a house. At this point, I don't know what to do other than to start a third game and discontinue use of the MB.

Ive gotten over 700 populatopn and didnt even know what policies were, i just assumed they werent implemented yet because when i clicked on them it just took me to the center of the reigon

the mineral perk at the bottom of the development tree can turn rich deposit resources infinite. You can see at 4:05 the salt deposit hes banking on has the crown aka rich, it will provide infinite salt given that you pick up the perk.

About honey 🍯!!! Do not, I repeat do not do the wax upgrade because the apiaries will not produce honey while there is wax in its output storage. Doing the “also produces wax” techtree update will result in, “will almost only produce wax”

How many horses do you have in total for each trading post? I know you can only assign 2, but I have the impression that also other horses you own are also being used. I have one trading post fully staffed, and all four of my horses are carrying riders. It's increasing the number of transactions between your regions. Great video! But while looking at your agriculture, I think the game needs a copy function for crop rotation settings.

@@TacticatGamingi used this few times on poor soil regions. With 2-3 hunters i'm unable to get the deers below 17/20 and have quite decent meat surplus
