Compilation for all the questions for people that don't have much time, just want the good questions or otherwise just want only part of the video. 0:00 Intro 1:02 Q1; What does the average TGF range day look like? What are your go to days to maximise your day? 2:25 Q2; Thoughts on reviewing loaned guns and gear? 3:16 Q3; What is your favourite eyeshadow? 3:55 Q4; How do you feel we as responisible gun owners can come together regardless of political beliefs, race, gender, or creed in order to defend our basic human right to keep and bear arms? 6:23 Q5; You featured rifles and handguns so far. Are you interested in reviewing shotguns in the future? 7:15 Q6; I was wondering what your passions and interests were outside of the gun sphere and if you didn't do a gun channel would you have done a KZbin on any of them? 8:20 Q7; I recently accepted myself as trans and have started to present myself as more feminine. I have been very concerned about how I will be percieved when return to ranges and gun shows. I was wondering if you have any tips or tricks on how to be more comfortable interacting in those situations. 10:30 Q8; They say you can tell a lot a person out here in the Mohabi wasteland by the company they keep. Who's your favourite Fallout New Vegas companion? 11:16 Q9; What's your preferred style of iron sights for rifles? Not necesarrily just AR sights and why? 12:10 Q10; Would you consider doing a meet-and-shoot with followers of the channel? I know anonymity is kind of important but I'd love to meet other firearms people in the community. 13:18 Q11; What knives do you like to EDC? 14:04 Q12; What are you thoughts on bullpups and which ones, if any, have you shot? 16:04 Q13; How can we make the firearm community more welcoming and inclusive to all those who might potentially be interested in guns, but may otherwise be turned off by the conventional portrayl or dominant narrative of firearm culture? 17:35 Q14; Do you have any thoughts on Organs Measure 114, and the possible impacts on our folks down in the beaver state. 19:21 Q15; Do you have any misgivings about getting tattoos? People ask why I don't have any and I joke that I don't want to be identified, but I'm absolutely serious. 20:19 Q16; How if at all have the principles and fundamentals of shooting sports impacted your life as a whole? 21:27 Q17; If you had the means; what vanity firearm would you buy? 22:00 Q18; How do you find people you're comfortable enough to go on outing with? And how do you find places to go out to? 23:20 Q19; Do you have any experience and/or interst in unarmed martial arts and combatatives? 24:32 Q20; How can we identify good local places to shoot? 25:32 Q21; Are you going to explore armor or concealed carry for those of a small stature? 26:31 Q22; What is your favourite war movie and why? 27:44 Q23; What are your thoughts on shotguns? 28:26 Q24; What you're favourite impractical d-word gun and have you fired it? 29:23 Q25; If AR style rifles become inaccesible in the for new buyers in the future do you think you would continue producing video's with your current presumably grandfathered equipment or would you consider showing how to make the most out of whatever new options were availible. 30:18 Q26; I've a question related to priorities. I found a subcompact 9mm that I enjoy and shoot well, but it doesn't have the compatibility of say a Glock. Is it okay to focus on equipment that you prefer or should a person switch platforms to the most readily repairable. 32:08 Q27; Do you have any recommendations for field clothes that are practical like multicam uniforms, but don't scream "Hi I'm a tactical hype beast, come take all my gear after you kill me." 33:06 Q28; When working with less experienced gun owners what sorts of drills do you find helpful in teaching the fundamentals? 35:00 Q29; What advice would you give to a traditional gun owner in terms of being an ally to the other folks who don't fit into that category, especially new shooters in places like gun shops, ranges, etc. in areas where there may not be many options for simply not doing business with folks who are at best ignorant or stuck to tradition and at worst minor league ass hats? 37:14 Outro Please like so TGF sees this so she can pin it, thank you. 💜

As someone who attended gun shows in "alternative clothing" all the way back in the late 90's and early 2k... people point and talk. Youre always gonna have that, and it only makes sense. You look different and a lot of the time your "image" comes with specific preconcieved notions. Today is a bit more political than in my day, so its a bit different. In my day (i sound old. fuck.), we were more tied to the religious preconcieved beliefs. That being said... it happens. You cant avoid it so accept it and put it beneath you so you can rise above. Beyond that... youre at these places for a reason. Guns. Use your knowledge and experience to help others understand that youre there because as different as you look, you share the same love. Go with confidence and purpose. If noone will talk or sell to you, thats their problem. Their loss. In my day, we were often percieved as "sk00l $h00t3r$" because we wore a LOT of black. We would joke back that we were actually the new seal team and this was the newest gear they were sending us out in. Some laughed. Some threw us out. It sucked but we werent changing for anyone. Anyways... travel in groups. Strength in numbers. Have THICC skin. Ar500 skin. Youll need it. Brush off insults as you would those from a child, bc thats all it is. Childish outbursts and misunderstanding. Best way to deal with it is to be EXTREMELY educated and experienced. The haters choke on their words if you shine hard. Much love, do your thing... -j

Fun, informative and well produced as always! I hadn't heard of the nebula version of the Chiappa Rhino and omg it looks like a weapon skin from a video game. I'm always excited for the next TGF video, your channel has really helped me get into shooting and realize it as a hobby for myself. Because of your channel and content, I found a local range that's very welcoming, friendly and helpful with all things firearm related and now go frequently to rent, shoot and learn about firearms. I'm a recently out bi/pan femboy and I have to agree that most people aren't really bothered by queer people in gun spaces. I just spent an hour at my local pawn shop wearing an entirely girly outfit from head to toe, oogling some black powder percussion revolvers while my dad was completing a transfer, and the guy behind the pistol case was just intrigued that I enjoyed such old guns and knew so much about them. I would have walked out with that shiny blue Colt if I had the cash, too.

I was somewhat in your boat until I got a shotgun for sporting clays. There's actually a practical use case, small game hunting, rabbits, birds, etc in an SHTF. I was curious and got into it after a club I joined offered trap, skeet, sporting clays and 5-stand. Its one thing to have an AR and handgun for tactical training but using a shotgun on small moving clay birds is a totally different experience. Give shotgun a try. BTW I shot it for the first time this year so by no means an expert. I bought a Beretta Xplor semi-auto and a Fabarm Elos N2 over under.

regarding the sights, i agree mostly. I really like a rear peep like an ar a2 rear sight, and a front post, but instead of the leaf style gaurds, i really prefer a interrupted circular hood. the rear peep and the front hood line up really well and easily to the eye naturally. midwesl ind makes a really nice set up fixed front and rear ar sights like this. they are my fav. next would probably be some from scalarworks if i can ever justify the cost

Your presence in this space is so meaningful to me. Thank you so much. Regarding the building of communities - yeah sometimes the general firearm culture might not feel inclusive in numerous ways. What's really cool though is, I've found that as a queer person I've been able to help people who would not otherwise be in favor of firearm ownership and opened their minds to the idea since the queer community is, generally, liberal in the US context. By showing them that there can be a more inclusive paradigm to the gun community, a lot of time they respond to that.

Re: Shotguns. The reason why they are so important in the space is twofold: (1) they tend to be the cheapest cost of entry relative to build quality and (2) they are often the easiest to legally acquire in places with restrictive permitting regimes. I agree that handguns/rifles are better for self/community defense, but there is a tendency to especially ignore that the latter point exists in at least a few places in the US. I'm also going to predict that now that 114 is passed most Oregonians are going to have to hope for pump-action at best from a licensing perspective.

I feel like ball dummy can be problematic for pistol shooting. Just because recoil compensation is such an important aspect of it. Ball dummy feels like it was designed more for bullseye shooting or single target shooting like trap/skeet. Basically I feel like if your "flinch" consists of pulling down your front sight while keeping it in line only after the trigger has broken then it's probably not your problem.

In my experience, no one really cares if you are trans within the gun community. Even if they know you are trans. At most they think it's a bit odd, but don't really care, when they talk in hushed whispers in private amongst themselves. You can change the perceptions of our community simply by being yourself, being patient, and being human. It is your duty to bully sisters when they boymode, though. :P This being said, the above may or maynot be predicated on your ability to pass. The better you pass, the more accepting they are. But even if you don't pass, most if not all are just excited that you are there and shooting in my experience dealing with the Pink Pistols. Your mileage may vary. There will always be bigoted jerks, and they might not be who you expect. Keep up the work drawing in the other side, sis. o7

Shoots very well, and even with the pissin hot .357s I'm putting through it, the recoil impulse makes it so comfortable to shoot with. People who complain about them almost unanimously have neither owned nor shot one, and probably frequent a certain Mongolian basket weaving forum.

Respectfully disagree about shotguns. Most sport shooting and utilitarian gun use worldwide is shotguns. Great for skeet, killing pest birds, rabbits and boars on farms or keeping animal populations in check. After all, humans have been hunting for hundreds of thousands of years and most predators are endangered. An AR-15 is good at what it does, but outside of the US it barely exists.

Id have to disagree with the shotgun assessment... a semiauto is probably one of the most devastating cqb weapons out there against unarmored targets. You can pretty much count on one shot kills when clearing buildings and working small areas like tight urban areas. Id typically deploy one in a team scenario, as opposed to single actor... unless it were home or base defense. Ammo can really change the weapons application, and its easy to devise your own loadings.
@miavaughn2393
@miavaughn2393 Жыл бұрын
And even in armored situations, a slug will incapacitate or kill most anyone at cqb ranges from sheer force. Its honestly a fantastic self defense option, but yeah, in terms of "preparedness" for civil unrest, fascists, or any tactical scenario, you would be better served with any rifle mostly due to the range component. And armor piercing at range. Its why i want a ar pattern shotgun such as the gen-12 so i have the same battery of arms for my self defense shotgun as i do my "duty" rifle, preparedness, tactical rifle. Either ar15 or ar10. PS I also just REALLY want a ar pattern shotgun that looks like the survivalists rifle from fallout new vegas. That was in .50 beowulf, but i feel a ar shotgun replica version would be close enough and more practical than a .50 beowulf rifle. NEED THAT WOOOOD FURNITUREEEEEEE.

kinda like this. q and a are boring most of the time but this was fun. i have two questions though....... one was there ever a gun or attachment you regretted? i have two which is the glock gen 3 and my lpvo 1-4x i got the was specifically rated for the .223 round. glock just didnt feel right in my hands even shooting it for 1000 rounds, the lpvo was great at first then i noticed the weight really made me suffer in the long run and .223 round did work but when i used 5.56 or heavier rounds the sight just didnt fuction like it should at longer ranges. second question, what was your gun movie that strangely got you into guns. mine was....... starship troopers. got me into airsoft and milsim paintball which just snowballed me into owning as many guns my bank account. strangely when that comes up its actually a great conversation started but....... it also shows people real.... ideology. strangely everyone who hates the movie i become good friends with, everyone who loves the movie shows some deeply troubling signs that actually make me avoid them at the range. one time a guy went full death to liberals and establishing the society in starship troopers where citizen ship is earned not a entitlement.

Right's don't exist unless someone grants them to you? Does a slave have a right to be free? Of course they do. A right exists even if it's being denied.

I guess I just like shotguns because I grew up shooting them in the country. Skeet shooting is so much fun and worth trying.

obviously everyone has their own take on this but personally i think a shotgun is the best weapon for home defense. there are somewhat less concerns of over-penetration and potentially hitting something unintended outside of your dwelling. for those that don't get to train on a regular basis and keep their skills up, i think it is also easier to use effectively under duress than a pistol.

Thanks TG for sharing so many interesting ideas. 4:45 "The world is constantly on fire and everything is crazy" sounds extreme, but it's something to consider.
