​@mattjohns3526 Tactix is a military watch and definitely will have a MIP version. Being stealth is a must. You won't see many contractors with a bright amoled screen on their wrist 😅

Love my T7 but the extra brightness (and battery life) of the microled is pretty attractive for outdoor / adventure sports. We'll see!

A 47mm tactix is something I’ve been hoping for, but if it’s AMLOED only it’s a deal breaker. MIP only for me. A display that has to emit light to be readable even in daylight is just silly on a watch. Looks pretty with brighter colors and such, but pretty over functional is not what I want.

I would think the Tactix 8 will share the same processor as the Fenix 8, Fenix 7 Pro, etc. I am guessing that the Fenix 8 Pro will have a (much needed) new processor

Document yourself about the battery drain or battery gate issue on the current garmin fenix 8, not the right time to buy anything garmin

Get the apple ultra 2 or galaxy ultra....both are supported by their companies where garmin has horrible customer service. I know from experience, my fenix had an issue with a premature failing of the screen and they did nothing a frankly could care less. Instead of doing that, I traded my 4 year old galaxy 4 for the ultra for 50% of what I paid. Thats crazy....you cant do that with Garmin...they sell you a product that is outdated in 2 years for the highest price point and dont take care of their customers...never again will I buy a garmin.

Yes it is quite a bit more expensive per display than the OLED they currently use. I believe I read it will cost them roughly $100 more per display, but that's also just material cost. If they have to change other parts of the manufacturing process and build in some expenses for R&D it could be quite a leap in price

I just got a enduro 3 . Cheaper than fênix 8 , does it all ! I was crazy about the tacticx 7 , but the price is too high! Not worth it! The enduro does almost everything

Enduro is definitely the best (new) offering for most people right now if they don't dive and can wear a 51mm watch

They won’t relaese a new tactix. The oled version was just release this year and it should be the natural evolution of the line. The next one will come november 2025 !
