I agree about the compact TAD series but for Jay the "starting poin" are the full size Ref 1... !! Sure!

He does NOT have a "lab". He knows nothing about speaker measurements, but at least he has the balls to do sound demos. What he does have is some sort of blue LED illuminated "listening room".

In a room like Jays these are perfect. Big sound, high resolution but never harsh and a good bass too. No sub needed. Not sure if I would drive them with TAD electronics. I drive them with tube amps from Audiovalve for that extra magic.

I've had a very very limited time in Münich (also my first time ever). This is one of the 3 rooms / systems that touched me. Very Good sound. 2nd Triode amps with Spendor D9.2 and the 3rd is Burmeister 232 amp and B38 speaker. This is not an order, just a list...

Insane. Even with KZbin compression, I can hear the recording reverbs clearly as well as space and imaging. These could probably be my destination speakers

The price of the CR1 is outrageous. Only 10 years ago it was half. And nothing has changed. The CST mid/tweeter is the same as the cabinet and bass driver. But double the price? Insane.

Cool but waaaaaaay out of LINE, On the Prices, also not a fan of Biwire , seems to me you are Defeating the Cross-over and on some of these High HIGH End Speakers they are super inefficient which makes no Sense to me (again this is MY opinion) and these half Million on up Systems Do Not sound 15 Times Better than my Vintage/New Mix System of 30k All in! Keep up your Awesome coverage and Reviews , maybe Someday you'll convince me that these Dual Mono Block Behemoths that have more in their Speaker Cables than I have in Whole System sound soooooo good, I need to mortgage my house and Collectables to own or let me think , I guess I could become a High End Critical Reviewer! Probably not though, I love Vinyl and magnetic tape with Equalizers more than Digital AI built Sound!!! LOL Please take all this with a Teaspoon of Sugar for Everyone has their own Love of Music no matter how it's reproduced! LOL , love watching your Vids!

Overall musical and no such as crispy than the rest or speakers that I have listen in the past! 4 stars and no 5 rating because the price 🫶🏻
