I've never worked on a system like this but it's very interesting to watch. I wonder if a big pair of vise--grips attached to the strut could keep the side clamps from twisting away from the panel. if you don't want teeth marks you could put a piece of pond lining between the grips and the strut.

4:06 I rather think the most frustrating part is: if i did my math right you installed 500Wp worth of modules on the tracker. thats about as much as 1 (one!) quality module does on its own. These are around 450 to 480 nowadays - and even 12 months back 400plus weren't to hard to find. so what i am going to say is: with just 2 modules in a static configuration you would probably harvest as much energy as you are going to with this highly complicated, expensive and error-prone (due to mechanics) setup. THAT'S much more frustrating than trying to stop your bolts from turning. Nevertheless: Big boys, big toys, i would install such a thing as well if i got a hand on it - just because 😁

Those are probably 4 foot by 5 foot, so I don't think so. Check out the manual and look at the dimensions and the weight tolerance first.

How many panels can you put on tracker? Or is it limited by weight? So can expand the panel array?

@@TaddyDigest thank you, this I understand. Have had any actirvaters? I believe called (piston that lifts)fail? I've seen on KZbin a problem with? I bought already 350.00 new. With eco worthy 195w bioficcial panels hoping to get 135 w per panel need 1000 total have 8 hoping would all fit?
