Good luck with your yellow belt test! Normally taeguk Il Jang is the poomsae you learn when you are on yellow belt. But dojangs do have different colour belt systems, then it should all be the same after black

Always look in the new direction of the next technique first, not execute technique, look at the same time. Remember what patterns are meant to be, an imaginary fight sequence so get used to looking first.😀

There's some similarities movements pattern in heian chodan of Shotokan Karate.

Yes! Maybe less in these early taeguk poomsae but check out the changhon hyung, you'll see whole sections that look similar. Because the changhon patterns were based on the heian kata
