Seriously, he is just amazing. Starting as a 13 year old maknae of Shinee to his exceptional solo career - its just beautiful to watch. Shinee is five members, sadly one has gone to the heavens already, but they are all exceptional soloists too.

I agree. When they started saying don't put all of whatever band as your top 5, I started thinking, but it's SHINee. They are all now very accomplished, successful soloist. They should hear Jonghyun, Onew, Key, and Minho. That is my top 5 and it's not just because they are SHINee. They are all successful solo artist with successful albums. Taemin is my #1.

You should watch his group, Shinee. it's composed of exceptional vocalists. As another commenter mentioned, one of their members passed away. He had a unique vocal tone so listen to their older recordings, as well as, their newer music. The members performed one of their ballads as a tribute to him after his death. They placed an empty mic stand with a rose for their missing member. The stand is spotlighted when his prerecorded lyrics are playing. I cry along with the remaining members every time I watch that performance. You will also enjoy a group called EXO. Two of the group members have extremely popular solo careers: Baekhyun and Kai. Their voices are amazing as well.

Would you like to hear Taemin actually rap? Check out "The Rizzness" where he excoriates armchair social media bullies while hiding behind a computer. This is a constant issue in S. Korean culture that hits close to Taemin's heart due to the loss of his SHINee brother, Jonghyun. Not that it was the entire issue behind Jonghyun's loss, but it certainly didn't help.

YES!! The RIZZNESS is a MUST!! People said its a silly word, but then Taemin said it, and gave HipHop another level. And you're right about his personal connection to the lyrics, like ADVICE. But TheKtwins; Taemin is so incredible experimental. Rapping is not new to him, so let me advice you to check out ADVICE, and the his FAMOUS (rapping in japanese), and not to mention his ballad with Taeyoun; If I Could Tell You. That was a jaw dropping for me, rapping in a beautiful way I have never heard before, both of them.

Love taemin! He is an absolute fovorite. I love his hyunjin and taemin dance challenge collabs. Kai is another great solo artist like taemin and dancer. Both of them are solo artist but still technically part of groups (kai is exo and in super M with taemin). Super M might be a good group to check out as well it is made up of artist from other groups. I suggest taemin songs- idea (1 of my top), criminal, want, move, the rizzness, .... for kai i suggest watching kai film which is like a teaser to about 6 solo songs and you can choose which ones you really like from there. Each one is almost a different style and dance style. I love rover, mmmh, reason...

My criteria: Vocals, danceskills, visuals, creativity, originality, performance, stage presence, personality (i.e, the full package), then there is only one on top: #1: TAEMIN. Then #2 Key. #3 has to be shared by Jonghyun, Minho and Onew. I could name a bunch of other super talented kpop artists as #4 and #5, but they would all somehow lack one or two from the criteria...And yes, Taemin has been acting in movies and dramas, not so much as Minho, who is a professional actor. But also Taemin majored in Theatre and Musical, hence his creativity influencences his MV. At last I just want to say that why Taemin is so outstanding and argumentally is the best dancer in the industry- that even among the immense amazing dancers in kpop- Taemin is not limited to one kind of dancing, and he is mostly self taought from the beginning-hence he will allways have his own style.
