And I think you can hear and see it in his music and music videos. It has so many layers, it's edgy and dark, very creative, nothing and no one you could compare it to. Taemin is Taemin. He's not trying to be someone else and no one else can be like him. One of a kind.

He edits, directs, choose what clothes will be best, come up with concepts, help choreograph. U can see why he is one of a kind

@SHINee unbothered kings Taemin (when he appeared as a guest in 2days 1 night, the only Korean show I watch before) brought me to 5HINee and SuperM. But SHINee appealed to my emotions more. Don’t worry Taemin doesn’t plan to retire any time soon! Yeah, he will have a military hiatus some time late 2021 or early 2022, but he stated many times he plans on doing music and performing for a long time if only his health will let him! So fingers crossed, cause honestly I’ve said that many times to my friends I would buy his albums and go to his concerts even if he’s 40 or 50 years old and can’t dance as hard. I just love his voice and his whole artistic persona! In other words Taemin is absolutely the best!!!

"Never gonna dance again" was chosen because it fits with the concept of "idea" as in taemin wants to ascend his performer identity looking for his "real" self. Idk if it makes sense but just think of it as someone having a thirst for absolute perfection beyond the label "performer"

The reason for the name of this album has to do with the fact that Taemin wants to be known for more than just his dancing skills, he wants to be known for his singing skills too so that is how act 1 and act2 got the name of never gonna dance again.

I am happy to see you guys reacting to this masterpiece of a video. And, the video is truly a work of art. I like what Teamin's creative self goes through in this video, the pure bliss in heaven and the temptation and destruction while in hell. The constant inner fight between his angelic self verses his devilish self made this video even more brilliant. It was like watching a mini movie. I admire that Taemin is not afraid to explore deep inside his soul, whenever you see his videos. And, I am a huge fan of his "Criminal" song and video, but I admit this new video right here is on a higher level. Taemin is on a higher level, than the other artists in his genre right now. He has really set himself apart from the rest out there, he is definitely a performer. The choreography fits the visuals and the storyline well, with its enticing and seductive dance moves. There is a certain amount of light and darkness shown throughout the video which adds alot to the beautiful cinematography, and Taemin's vocals are extremely on point with the theme of the video, as always. Fun Fact: Everything about this is based on Platos theory of forms. The theory of forms is a philosophy-driven perception study, in which Plato claims any physical form is only an image of the truth of the realm form. You can see Taemin executing this in the lyrics and the video. He is talking about himself being a version of different perception, mainly interpreted by himself -> "you are my idea"

Like how he pronounces idea as I-de-a, just like plato did. in this meaning, I-de-a is interchangably with "eidos" = physical from, or ideal. plato states that we are always one step away from our idea, and that the full form is to be discovered, not invented. in the video, you see taemin facing himself as pure matter and different versions of him appearing at the same time, all created by perception. also, you see his fight of good/evil or heaven/hell, all to define his pure form, his ideal of himself.

As a long time Shawol, I can say that Taemin deserves every ounce of acknowledgement and respect. With NGDA Act 1 and 2 his artistry is very vulnerable, which is why he’s so good at what he does.
