@@Taetro Thank you! I have just finished understanding this part here. It took me only a few days to get the "thirds" and "major"/"minor" thing right (I hope) ❤️ 🙂 Little fun fact: In German there is no note/key(?) B but an H instead. I found it eye opening, that it is actually A to G in English, which makes more sense, but I think there must be a reason that it's an H German 😅

@@geetamishra7478 Because that's how you determine major/minor chords. You don't necessarily have to skip a note for chord progressions, you could play F-G-C and it will still be a chord, that is an Fsus2. But most western music(pop music in particular) generally only stick to major and minor chords, so skipping any other note would make sense because that is how you play major/minor chord.

So, I noticed the same thing happening in music theory that happens in vocal training videos. When I was learning to sing the instructors left out very important information that one needed to fully understand a given concept. I learned to find a few good instructors that when taken together gives me full knowledge. Why they do this I can only guess is so they can send people to buy their courses. I noticed the same thing happening in music theory. I watched a number of videos about chord progressions and they all left out important information Taetro just explained. TY for actually trying to teach full concepts.

Where I thought I had an idea how to before but would often fail, this is the video that, after watching, I was able to sit down at my piano, choose a key, and play all the (major and minor) chords in that key.
