I am constantly surprised by how LOW she can get because of how high the vocals normally are for her. But King Taeyeon is the Ace. That's REALLY saying something, considering being in Girls Generation. But they made her the leader for damned great reason. She had a lot to teach the younger vocalists.

Taeyeon's down to earth and humble nature whilst being the leader of one of the biggest girl group in Kpop history has always earned her a lot of respect in the industry. Her vocal abilities and tone have caught the attention of her seniors even before blowing up with Girls' Generation. She was featured in The One's (her mentor) song "You bring me joy" in 2004, 3 years before her debut with GG in 2007. She is known to be quiet, reserved, but quite caring of her juniors all throughout her career. Simply put, Taeyeon has been described by other kpop artists as "the idols' idol". She is a crush for male and female idols alike. Many female kpop idols view Taeyeon as someone to aspire to. There are many compilations of Kpop artists gushing over Taeyeon. Her fans loves that she is an introvert and often has trouble showing/talking about her emotions. So when she does, it's all that much more meaningful because there is such depth in her soul. Even though she was part of a girls group, Taeyeon always had a dream to become a great live singer... which I think is safe to say, she has achieved and surpass. She has one of the most diverse albums from a Korean artist that I know of. She has always been known to be the OST queen because of how much emotions her voice can convey, which is perfect for korean drama shows/movies. As she mature and take on a solo career, she allowed herself to experiment with so many different genre and fully show the full scope of her talent. I am not a follower of GG but I casually listen to them, and I attest that even non-fans acknowledge that they are one of the top groups in South Korea that honed the KPop industry. Taeyeon with her group has reached their peak, but what's amazing is how they are lasting at the top still. They are living legends at this point. Everyone respects them.

OMG!!! I can't believe that you guys finally reacted to Taeyeon! I IMMEDIATELY subscribed when i saw the thumbnail. She is literally a legend in kpop and the idol of so many idols!!! A true gem, 15 years in the industry and still dominating!! I would recommend reacting to Taeyeon's Killing Voice next so that you guys can get a better sense of her music. When it comes to Taeyeon, she NEVER sticks to one genre, every comeback is something different. King Taeyeon IS a genre as she is never afraid to try new things and always pulls off any concept.

The MV is actually inspired by the story of Artemis and Orion. Artemis and Orion were really close with each other but her brother Apollo didn’t like that. So one day when Artemis, Orion (and Apollo ?) were chasing Apollo send a giant scorpion to attack Orion and to protect himself from it he dived into the ocean (hence the use of water throughout the MV) but Apollo tricked his sister by saying she needed to kill this monster which was Orion but he was so far that she didn’t recognise him. When she get closer and recognise her lover, she was sad and so she transformed into a star. This is why Taeyeon is holding a bow and arrows, and that there is a lot of representation of the moon and stars as well as a really white, grey and pale blue color palette bc they symbolise the goddess Artemis.
