TAFF SPRING

Fishing the River Taff in South Wales for grayling and trout through the spring of 2018. From the freezing cold of early March to the warmth of late May, join me fishing on this iconic river as it transitions from winter to summer.

Great video Nick ! I too have lived within a mile of the river, all my life . Fished it since I was 10 years old . Only caught rudd , roach and eels then . Recognised every spot you fished . Will look out for you.

Hi, really enjoyed your video. Although not currently an angler I know the stretch of the Taff you fish very well (I'm currently sat in Morganstown). I'm thinking it may be time to knock thirty years worth of dust off my trout rod and have a go! ATB, M.

10 minutes in and I like what I see. Just a quick question, where abouts on this river are you fishing? And how much are day tickets? Keep up the videos because there isn't many like this around.

Thanks, glad you like the videos. I fish the Taff from Radyr down to the centre of Cardiff. The Taff Spring video was all shot on the Radyr part of the river. Day tickets are pretty cheap and can be bought from the Garry Evans fishing shop in Cardiff, or you can get an annual ticket.

Nick wow beautiful film I’m desperate to tick a wild trout off my bucket list living in Leicestershire from my understanding and studying trout are very seldom seen would you be willing to give me some wisdom where I could have ago on your river ? Be it club or public excess any help would be greatly appreciated regards David

Hi David, glad you enjoyed the film. Day tickets for the stretch of the Taff in the film are available from the Garry Evans shop in Cardiff. There is a railway station at Radyr on the outside of Cardiff which is right next to the river. Cheers, Nick.
