Our Uboat will battle WW2 Warships and aircraft who have one job to hunt us down! Can we survive to sink merchants...time will tell!

The Star Shells thing reminds me of the USS Samuel B. Roberts lol. Got right up close to a Japanese heavy cruiser so the cruiser couldn't depress its guns close enough to shoot the Destroyer Escort. Unloads all 5in AP and HE shells into the superstructure, unloads all her DP Flak shells into the super structure. Finally unloads all her Star Shells into the superstructure lighting off a *ton* of phosphorous fires lol.

I think you should have equipped your boat with the newer Naxos radar detector when you got to port. The older Metox (Biscay Cross) was good warning of metric radar signals, but could not pick up the centimetric sets coming into service with the British. That Wellington probably got the jump on you with newer radar, allowing it to home in before turning on the Leigh Light to paint you up for the attack. That said, until you can upgrade, run submerged at night and on the surface during daytime so you watch crew can see attackers coming in and give you time to crash dive. You could also trim your boat to run a bit lower while on the surface; while you will lose a knot or so in surface speed and have a little higher fuel consumption, it can shave seconds off your dive time.

Taff - I think the hunter torps have a gold rudder/propellor the silver ones are just electric. Could be wrong! Love the videos btw.
