The best thing about this show is that they are not about hyped lures, reel brands and all that stuff. Not being sponsored by anyone. That's totally awesome.

+TAFishing Hi Graeme, It certainly did. Was at Anstruther late last night. Awesome watching my 30g Fladden Sea Float with a big Red Light on top drift way out to sea in the dark. Float sat perfectly. Used SSG Split as the stop knot, and 1/2 OZ sliding weight below the Float. Perfect. Used 3 rods again. Getting much better now at handling it all, and much quicker too on Bait up etc. Loving it Graeme. Cant wait for the lovely summer evenings. Bet you cant either. Much obliged to you for taking the time to reply. Best to you both for now. Steve in Fife.

Hi all, a very basic but interesting question here for PIKE/PERCH experts.. Which one would you experts say was the most likely to catch a pike in one sitting this summer? Lets say a few hours before my son gets bored! Would hate a BLANK! 1) lure fishing on foot covering multiple swims up and down the river (something basic like a 10cm rubber shad as a lure) 2) deadbait trolling on foot covering multiple swims up and down the river, using a real deadbait sprat as a lure 3) livebait on float (one swim obviously) 4) Other methods? All comments from predator experts very much appreciated

Good video! Could I use my 2-4oz bass rod and 6000 multiplier for pike deadbaiting or do I need something else?
@TAFishing9 жыл бұрын
+B.G.Phillips Fishing Try it.But a multiplier is not good for casting small deadbaits.Better with fish baits of 4 ounces or over.

Hi, do you have the float set at a certain depth or on a slider knot, thank you

TAFishing so if the lake is 7ft i should fish around 5ft? Thank you!
@MrTestcurve9 жыл бұрын
Hi Guys, love the show. I'm a bit unclear what depth you had the deadbaits set at, were they tripping the bottom or fished at mid-depth or higher. Cheers
@TAFishing9 жыл бұрын
+Timothy Mallinson I like two thirds of the depth in winter as most of the pike will be near the bottom,looking up.That is why some pike have leeches on them . Surface fishing is better when the water temps warm up or when they are balling bait like first year fry.
@sharrow28 жыл бұрын
Nice vid, as always. Are the leeches part of the cause of that *potentially* 20+ Pike's apparent malnourishment, do you think?
@mrcrabz99978 жыл бұрын
17lb is huge considering my pb pike,and biggest fish in my whole life is only a 14 pounder. but I'm pretty happy about that cos I'm only 11

How long can a pike be out of water? In winter
@AdriansVideosCW366 жыл бұрын
Fin Hammond not to long at all, if you can unhook them at the edge of the water then they have a much better chance of survival. I’d never keep one out for longer than 30 seconds or so.

hi can you use a 12ft beach rod for pike might be a stupid question but i dont know haha
@TAFishing8 жыл бұрын
Depends what weight it is rated for.If it throws up to 3 ounces it might be OK,but anything from 3 to 6 ounce casting weight will probably be too heavy.Sure you will catch the pike,but you might not get much of a bend in the rod.
