The owl hunts primarily by hearing. Its ears are not symmetrically placed either side of its head so it can accurately locate the prey. It also has feathers that mean it is silent in flight so the noise doesn't interfere with its hearing. A wonderful animal.

Tackle has become so specialised nowadays, it's good that someone appreciates how versatile and successful simple gear can be.

For bushcraft fires, I dip cotton pads in candle wax. Before use, tear the pads to expose fibers. They burn for far longer than a normal pad and are easy to stuff in your pack and are naturally waterproof. Just don't tell the wife you've pinched her cotton pads

I know it's personal preference, but I enjoy your exploring wild waters videos so much more than when your fishing commercials. Probably an age thing. Couldn't give a flying f... if you catch or not. All good tho, keep them lines tight, ha ha, even if its only snags.

Wild waters are the absolute best! You’ve got to love commercials too though, keeps the real fishing a bit more exclusive 😉

Those weights you showed are specifically for drop shotting; they clip onto your line where the weight would usually go, and the two pieces of lead and the bead smack together in the water which causes vibrations to supposedly attract fish 🤷♂️

I’ve literally just bought some of these lures off eBay.. £4.95 for 10, free postage. 8 perch 2 jack pike were the results on my local canal. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ali Express is worth a look for lures. Think you get free shipping over £8.00. 20 or 30 for £3 is common. Usually get delivered in 7-9 days. All my goto small perch lures are from AE now. Very addictive!

Great lures from fiiish , but there prob made in China. Some of the lures I have I brought from a Chinese shop. The hooks are sticky sharp and there cheap as chips if you lose one.

Good evening, my dear friend, I am following you from an Arab country. We do not have a method for fly fishing We have carp in the river, but we catch them using the traditional method of yellow corn or wheat flour dough...but you have to be patient for long hours until you catch. I want advice from you, my friend. What is the most favorite fly for carp, and what is the most favorite smell for carp that attracts it to it? Do you advise me whether the fly should be on the surface of the water or go down to the depth? Please reply.. Your friend Abu Imran

@@ابوعمراننت I think using a ground bait mix with pellets and/or anything you've got to attract them to your swim. Watch more of Greames videos because thats what I see he's doing. Good luck Arab friend.
