OMG you are brilliant!!!! I've always hated that Revit doesn't let you tag areas of filled regions, especially for energy code compliance elevations. This workaround is genius, THANK YOU!

Awesome! Needed that for a long time and couldn't figure it out. Now I'm going to try to figure out how to make one that shows opaque and transparent areas of walls for energy calc.

Hi! So awesome! Thank you so muchhhh! But, do you know how to make a schedule of the areas total?
@BIMforInteriorDesign9 күн бұрын
It would be hard as you can not schedule filled regions. You would have to create a new filled region, which would cover the whole area.
@satefutingatgoogle2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, dude this is awesome. I wish we could get this to show in a schedule.
@BIMforInteriorDesign2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, even tagging filled regions is "not the proper BIM way", so placing it to schedule is not currently possible.

ps. is there a way to get the data (m2) into a schedule?, for there is no option to schedule detail items or filled regions. I just wonder. thnx.
@BIMforInteriorDesign7 ай бұрын
I do not know about a way how to get the area to the schedule. That is a problem with this workaround - Revit by default does not put annotation objects to schedules.

Saved my day! Is it possible to delete the comma in the area? So it will be a whole number instead?

That is a good question. You can find the answer in this thread: forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-architecture-forum/always-round-down-an-area-in-a-tag/td-p/6815912

Thank you so much for this trick! Is it also possible to add an annottation for the perimeter of the filled region?

I am not sure about that. You might try the same method that was used for creating the area parameter, just search for length.

@BIMforInteriorDesign2 жыл бұрын
I am not aware of a way to do that. I think you would need to schedule filled regions, which is not possible. There might be some trick to do that, I just do not know about any.

Hi! i recently saw this video and was very usefull to me, so it generates a few inquiries, for more advance posibilities, do you know if there is a way that i cant calculate in a tag over a filled region the difference percentage between two filled regions?
@BIMforInteriorDesign Жыл бұрын
As you cannot schedule area of regions, I doubt there is a way to use these numbers in calculations. There might be a way, Revit us full of surprises, but I don't know of any.

How come your Revit look neat and clean ( like Archicad ).. Normally Revit look ugly coz of thick line drawing. Is it because of your screen resolution or Revit setting?
@BIMforInteriorDesign Жыл бұрын
It is definetely not screen resolution - I am using 1920x1080. It might be that this project is simple, so doesn't look overwhelming. There are other setting that might make your viewport more pleasant like turning on anti-aliasing and other settings. I might do a tutorial on setting up nice viewport.

Odlehčeně řečeno tak jak to je v perexu jednoho webu: "Na všechno v Revitu je nějakej "workaround", ale musíme na něj teprve přijít". A neodlehčeně, to bych musel být vulgární.
