One very subtle difference between the Raider and the Rampage is that the Raider has straight rifling while the Rampage has spiral rifling.

Took an old Raider, painted it up and shoved internals from the Rampage into it. Why? People don't think of you as a threat when you pull out an old N-Strike blaster, so when it shoots Elite performance and tags them, it's my Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

Take one Battlescout. Gut Battlescout Insert Rampage internals into empty shell (W/upgrades). Epoxy magwell onto one side. Fill the GOD AWFUL hole on the other side Raider Stock/ barrel extension of appropriate length Battle-rampage-raider-scout. (Bonus points if you can fit the B. S. internals into the Deploy.)

WalcomS7…. I’m a noob to the Nerf thing. Basically got into it via my grandsons. I TOTALLY appreciate your TAG BACK videos and your opinions on what’s “garbage” and what’s not since the majority of my current collection (for my grandsons 😜) I get from flea markets and Goodwill. I JUST picked up two of Raider CS35s at a Goodwill. Unfortunately only one had the drum mag and NEITHER had the cool adjustable stock 😭 Oh well. That’s why I enjoy your videos! Keep up the good work 👍🏽 I’ll be watching

That's what I always thought, especially with my Recon's AR suddenly failing so it thinks that there's always a dart in there and thus the reverse plunger tube cracks against the other tube/barrel. Also, I noticed in the Recon's and Retaliator's deprimer dart storage is that the dart sinks in too far, making it hard to fish it out efficiently or quickly, but taking out the plate made it easier to grab the dart.

vBszo, Maybe try a blue stryfe, raider stock, 12 mag (18 may look a bit too long), blue retaliator barrel, retaliator grip, and the stormtrooper front iron sight. I don't recommend an orange stryfe because the orange raider stock is rare and the barrel is from an orange recon.

The Raider wiz ma first Nerf blaster :) Though I find it nostalgic, love the stock & the looks ... my rarely used Raider however, it is no match for my Rampage for a some reasons: 1. The priming mech went from smooth to creaking to locking up occasionally (after which I needed to open it up & lube it & fix it) now it runs smoother than the Rampage. In short, not the best prime. 2. The power and therefore range isn't great, at all. Very inconsistent 10 to 30 feet odd. Though the accuracy & firing speed is half decent. 3. When attempting slam fire, the Raider jams really bad (to dart tearing proportions) and even worse in aged models. 4. Lastly, the thing that bothers me the most, the pretty old drum mag is terrible, it will not load by even half without a lot of effort & even then the spring is no longer strong enough to push the darts all the way round. The result, a huge, near useless mag. In short, this video does Niall that from a modders perspective, but personally (being a very practical & slightly collective nerfer) I would hate myself if I tore my Raiders apart (I own 2) but hey, good video nonetheless :))

I actually picked one up with the drum a few years ago from a yard sale, and got the collapsing stock and a skeletal storage stock for $2 a while later. I recently decided to modify the Raider so the pump looks more like a traditional shotgun pump (and by "modify", I mean I sawed off the actual grip on the front and used the base as a mount for the rest of the new pump). It's not finished yet, although it works. I also have a 6-dart mag that I've been planning to try with it, although it was lost along with the skeletal stock, so I've been keeping an eye out for them.

On the note of the drums. I got two of them and never seemed to have any problem with them. The only time I remember it miss feeding was when I was breaking in a new stryfe and putting as many darts through it as possible and only twice during that time did I outrun the spring

My 3rd nerf gun ever, i was so happy with it. I modded it, took the barrel cap off so you could change barrels easily, took the jam door off, and eventually i traded it for 2 other guns. I miss my raider, i still have the attachments though.

I found a 35 dart drum at something called the Otaku flea market, feed perfectly fine into a Modulus CS 10 also found 3 Raider stocks, the raider variant, the barricade variant, and a custom painted Super Soaker variant that only needed simple spring replacement.

Love your videos Walcom. I got ahold of a Raider for 15 dollars, came with the stock and two 35 round drums. I don't know if I'm just lucky but I have never had a problem with the drums, they work in my Rapidstrike and my Stampede. Again, love your videos.

Me and a kid from my area were having a nerf war, I had one of these and he had that mega jolt blaster. I didn't tell him about the slamfire though, so once he ran out of ammo, I mag dumped the 6 round mag I had in it (i had that mag in because 6 round mags don't look as threatening as the 35 round drum)

The thing with the drum is that it works pretty okay with springers. Not grear for sure, but the pumping of the priming rod (whatever it is) will shake the drum and it will feed decent. Seriously, put a LiPo in a Stampede and run it with a 35 drum. It's stupid effective

A mod that I have the idea of is cut off the front of a alpha trooper and replace it with the front of this blasters barrels. For me I don’t like the e.a.t.’s pump handle and when painted, it looks pretty freakin sweet as well with comfy ergonomics.

This is my theory on the single dart holder in the handle. You load up your magazine and then you put it in the gun. You de-prime the gun by firing it. Now where do you put that dart? Into the handle. That's my only theory.

I came across a Raider that was a value pack special which came with two 35 round drums included. Sadly it's bolt sled broke beyond repair, but I did find a Rampage to replace it a few months later. I also did go through the trouble of replacing the springs in the drums. The covers to the drums springs are solvent welded to the shell, almost broke them in the process, but they work great in my Rapidstrike now.

I just found a raider for $5 at a goodwill, didn’t have the stock sadly (I just snagged a different stock for it instead) but it works good I believe, little rough to pump but it probably needs to be cleaned

Also, I used to use the handle dart holder to keep old or bent darts inside so that the next time I used the blaster, I removed the then time-fixed dart :)
