The tram of Gmunden has been the world's smallest tram system until august 2018. Three trams produced by Lohner and Düwag were used for the regular service. The rolling stock also included two historical cars.
The tram was connected with the local railway to Vorchdorf in september 2018, since then there are only modern "Tramlink" low-floor cars in service.
On august 25th 2018 the tram operator organized a "Day of the Nostalgia" to say goodbye to the cars 8, 9 and 10 in regular service: All five old cars were used alternating as an additional service, while the Tramlink car 129 carried out the regular service.
