I believe the time on the watch needs to be in a certain position to change date and time I’m pretty sure it’s in the manual

The best part of the older day/date carrera is that it was 43mm vs the new one which is 44mm. And btw the watch was $4600 in 2011/2012. The new version is well over 6. My only complaint is it should have an in house movement. Not the ETA 7750. Like you said Hamiltons that can be had for under $2k use that movement. I do disagree and think the bracelet matches the style perfectly.

Nicely done, thankyou. 🤗 I have this day/date and actually love the caliber 16 ETA 7750. My other watch is the Longines master collection moonphase, which runs the same 7750 movement as the Tag Heuer but with even more complications. Great review brother..

So I’ll have to do an update on my buddies Tag. He actually took it apart(😬) and bead blasted the case. This is his watch and he plans on keeping it and it looks great. I’ll have to give it to him, he has more courage than I do

Is the date issue because it hasn’t been getting set at the right times if you set it outside it’s Correct change time it can damage it

The day and date should only be changed, when the minute and hour hands are both BELOW the 3, and 9 o clock position.

I must start by saying ,I love this watch so much , but I had exactly the same problem that you had with the day / date change , at first I thought it was broke , luckily I sorted it out but at this price point you do not need these problems , saying that I still cherish this stunning watch.

I’m pretty sure the crown issue you came across Is typical of the 7750 movement. The movement is a little high maintenance and is one to stay away from. Heifer should of chosen another movement, like their own.

My Omega Seamaster Co-Axial Chrono Diver had the same problem. Very frustrating.

I just bought the same watch, but for $3100, new.. it's discontinued now... I've looked at almost every auto chrono watch out there..and liked the looks and function of this better.. to each his own I guess..

Hal well hopefully I’ll re-review this watch. my buddy and his wisdom, tore apart the watch, bead blaster it, put it back together. It actually looks really good. He doesn’t plan on ever getting rid of the watch, but hopefully I’ll be able to get my hands on it eventually and re-review it

This is a great looking watch. I like thin bezels like this. I'm amazed that people hate on Tag Heuer, but will praise some gaudy looking Breitling design or something similar.

Can you show the cronograph working until reaches 1 hour? Or a photo too. I have a doubt and would like to know if the complication at six o'clock is a hour counter or cycle counter.

@@allthingsrandom8137 I agree. I thought the watch was defective. Matter of fact while under warranty it completely stopped grabbing all together and had to be repaired. So I think it is a common defect with the movement from Tag.

I broke my pin remover whilst trying to adjust the bracelet, those pins must be welded in. Hence, I am unable to wear my Tag.

Hello I have this watch I just pickup from service! I have this one the day came out! Is scratching very fast the steel band, he came with black alligator leather belt! Is not worth it the money! Came of the plastic logo from Crown / pusher is cheap quality:( to much money 💰 for something is not worth it! The rest is nicer built. I just sold james bond casino royal omega seamaster a beautiful watch! I had a rolex submariner 16610 I sold it too! They service are expensive for those watches! In future I will buy a cheap watch! Thanks for review this watch!

I just googled grey market dealers for this watch brand new. Less than 4. Going to have to disagree. Maybe a fair price from an AD. But this watch is far from valued at 5 grand. But that’s just an opinion

You are not wrong. I could spend 3 times as much for a lesser watch with a more prominent name. But to be fair, I could also go Hamilton and yes, tissot, with similar finishing, and similar movements. The Tags movement is only a modified, not truly in-house. Really it’s the name you are buying, and on the secondary market, Tag Heuers are not good on resale. If you don’t wanna sell it, that’s great. If you like it that’s also good. But just because someone like something doesn’t mean it’s worth the money. I would say the same thing about a Rolex Submariner. It’s worth a quarter the price that it’s being sold for retail

this review. was so bad i been collecting watches for 40 ++years 7750 movement was ones of the best movement ever made thats why all the big name companys still use it today yuo had a dud watch

I have to agree. I own the special edition black titanium with red black gator skin band. I would say his issue was he didn't make the adjustments at the right time position. Mine has been my daily for 7 years without an issue. I also have several Rolex and omega that I wear for good but this watch is very hard to beat at its price point!
