This watch makes a great one watch collection or a grear everyday watch. I own the blue dial version. It is very nice in fit and finish and the day date function is very useful.

I’ve read reviews and the watch snobs really hate this brand. Personally I don’t care, I bought this watch in mind with making it my everyday watch. I got the one with the brown leather band. So far I love it. I love it’s sleek classic look. That’s what I was looking for nothing too flashy.

I love Tag Heuer, it's an important and innovative brand, and I think the Carreras, Autavias and Monacos are great. Watch snobs diss the brand because the early Formula 1 models back in the 80s and 90s were rather Swatch-y and juvenile, and didn't really dignify the brand. But those models had a purpose and they served it well (relaunching the brand after the TAG takeover).

In the luxury watch market, there is no hate. One of the best selling luxury watches. Just jealous comments from people who have cheaper makes. The history and heritage of Heuer stands alone. Patented mechanisms(calibre 5). Le monde, F1, monaco, James Dean, Ferrari, Porsche. Etc etc. Timeless.

I'm a TAG fan, and own several. With all due respect, you comment is a bit off base. No one, and I mean no one, is jealous of TAG Heuer. It's an entry level brand. I consider my Seamaster and even my 16610LN to be entry level in the watch world; if you're going to be a watch snob, it doesn't start with TAG. Patented mechanisms? LMAO, it's a repackaged Selita SW movement. At least know your watches before you make yourself look bad.

I had a calibre 8 Carrera TAG Heuer. It has a magnificent dial. The bracelet is also of high quality finishing.

@@reviewyup592 Ehh... Like I said, for the same amount of money, there are thousands of watches with better quality. Take, for example, the Caliber 5 Carerra. I own this watch, but it is far from my favorite. The deployant on the bracelet is no better than what you would see on an Oris.

Carrera vs Aqua Terra ?

I own both. But the Aqua-Terra is twice the price. It is not twice the watch in my opinion. I also have a 214270 Explorer, my Aqua-Terra is just as good or better than my Explorer. The Carrera is a GADA watch like those two, but not quite on their level. But not far behind. For he money, hard to beat. The Carrera is a fantastic watch not out of place in any collection. Well worth the money. I don't look down at the Carrera when wearing it and think less of it against the Omega or Rolex. I wear it much as those two. There is no higher compliment. You can have a new Carrera day date or a older Aqua-Terra for the same price. Just remember that Aqua-Terra will cost $500 plus for a proper service along with its already higher price. Both good choices. Win-win.

Εγώ 50αρις, και με καρπό 18,5, πήρα το 39αρι, online καινούργιο πριν 2,5 χρόνια σε πολύ καλή τιμή 1700€, για το συγκεκριμένο μοντέλο 41mm όχι πάνω από 2000€ (τά υπόλοιπα πληρώνεις μάρκετινγκ) για μένα το τέλειο μοντέλο, λιτό αλλά πανέμορφο ρολόι( κόσμημα) δεν κάνει Μπαμ από μακριά όπως το Breitling Superocean 42 που είχα πριν, το οποίο ήταν πολύ βαρύ για καθημερινό, είχα τύχη και το ξεφορτώθηκα σε καλή τιμή, και τά δύο με ΕΤΑ μηχανισμό, μπορώ να πω ότι το Tag Heuer έχει μηδαμινή μεν 1/2 sec αλλά καλύτερη ακρίβεια από το Breitling που είχα, γράφονται και λέγονται πολλά για την "ποιότητα" της Tag Heuer. Δοκίμασα Omega Agua Terra, Tudor black bay, Tissot κτλ το ένα πανάκριβο για καθημερινό το άλλο σαν τρακτέρ και πάει λέγοντας, αν είσαι 30αρις 40αρις και θέλεις να κάνεις το εφέ σου κοίτα το Aguaracer, από 45+ θά συμβούλευα τα Nomos πού αξίζουν και το τελευταίο ευρώ που θα δώσεις όσων αφορά τά μηχανικά ωρολόγια, σε όλες τις υπόλοιπες μάρκες πληρώνεις χαράτσι, επίσης επειδή όλα είναι Luxus και τά λεφτά πολλά, θέλει το ρολόι που θα πάρει κάποιος να αντιπροσωπεύει τον χαρακτήρα του και αν είναι δυνατόν να το κρατήσει πολλά πολλά χρόνια για να είναι "κερδισμένος".

Έκανες την καλύτερη δυνατή επιλογή, αυτοί που ξέρουν από ρολόγια ξέρουν ότι πήρες ένα στιβαρό και μεγαλοπρέπες ρολόι, ρολόι που και αυτό αξίζει κάθε ευρώ που θα δώσεις (το είχα ξεχάσει), ρολόι όχι Ζωής αλλά γενεών, το είχα και εγώ στο μάτι, αλλά μου έκλεψε την καρδιά το Carrera ( και η καλή τιμή που το βρήκα),αν και γνωρίζω ότι το GS συγκρίνοντας αρχική τιμή/ προσφορά ποιότητας είναι ανώτερο του Carrera που έχω, αλλά η καρδιά βλέπεις 😉
