I found the tag while scrolling on the internet, and sang it with my group (heartland harmonizers). It's so much fun

Awesome, man! Do me a favor and record your group singing the tag next time! I'd love to see it appear underneath the original video on the Holland Harmony Education page (facebook.com/hollandharmonyeducation ). Hope to see a video some time :)

Dude you sing some really awesome tags, I sung like leaves will fall last night with some guys from my chorus (Great Northern Union) and it was so amazing. I would love to sing a polecat or tag with you some time at a convention or a international contest!

Thanks so much, man! I'm glad you like the tags. Please do record it next time and do me a favor by posting the video underneath the video on the Holland Harmony Education page (facebook.com/hollandharmonyeducation ). I'd LOVE to hear you guys sing the tags :). We should definitely sing a song together some day! Hope I'll make it to an international convention some day.

Picardy 3rd with a ninth chord 💯 I'll record this and post it soon
@sgtsonny6 жыл бұрын
Right?! What a great final chord. Sometimes I hate that picardy 3rd at the end of a song. It's so wrong at times, but here it was just perfect :)
@TerryTags6 жыл бұрын
We should start a thing where every time there's a Picardy 3rd with an added 2 in first inversion (so the Bass is on the Picardy 3rd), it's called a "Terry Ninth" chord! lol jk ;-)
@overtone556 жыл бұрын
No objections here. The bass never gets the picardy third

I enjoyed hearing you try to sing that low A in the bass. It sounded like you were starting to slip into a sub-harmonic voice with some vocal fry. Now I understand why you always pitch things up into the ladies' range. ;)
@sgtsonny4 жыл бұрын
Haha you're exactly right! I have to choose my days wisely to sing male bass parts. This was definitely not one if those days 😅
@oldguydoesstuff1204 жыл бұрын
@@sgtsonny I understand fully! As a baritone/bass, I have to carefully pick days I can reach some tenor notes. You gotta sing with what you've got, not with what you want.
@cristhiancamarena95344 жыл бұрын
Nah it was just vocal fry, but it is good he let it crack naturally tho! Bass as well.
@NoHomerS3 жыл бұрын
@@sgtsonny so was your reason for the transposition more about everyone in harmony or so you can sing every part? Because I know women that can sing a great male-range lead and tenor, so I doubt that's really the problem 😉

Sonny what Program/equipment do you use to record the 4 part stuff? nice tags by the way, I love singing them, I just have poor quality i phone versions

Hi! You can find all the info of my hardware and software on my 'about' page: kzbin.infoabout I started with low end stuff as well. Nothing wrong with that!

Wow! very nice! I wish I had the tech to do that ... got no one to sing with. 8(

Well, I used to do a lot of solo overdubs, but my tech is outdated ... can't any more, until I upgrade, and now, can't foresee time to do it anymore... here's a sample... kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIKTg2mQd6iIgtk . I did a series for our Sisters website. Starts out with instrumental - computer generated, then my overdub. (My composition of the Lord's Prayer in Ukrainian. :) )

Whats the harmonica thingy?
@sgtsonny6 жыл бұрын
It's called a pitch pipe. It's used by acappella groups to blow the key of the piece you're about to sing.

Don't quartets sound better when it's not mixed?
@sgtsonny5 жыл бұрын
It's a matter of taste, I guess. Some people prefer a mixed sound over an all male or all female quartet sound :).

3:21, it's actually "Snucked in". Aside from that, I also do sing, but when I'm at Church or even by myself whether it's at home or at work. I sing the Bass part, just like my Grandpa and my Grandad, I have been getting compliments from people at Church, about my voice when I sing. My singing voice is amazing and beautiful and just a little romantic for any single girls or women out there, honestly :-).
