I found 2 of those giant standing stones and built towers all the way up them both with 3 bridges interconnecting the stone structures, and then wade a circular fort roofed like a colliseum under it in the middle. Me and 3 other friends probably spent about 80 hours on it altogether. Afterwards we just scrapped our other places basically immediately abandoned them and now we live in the plains with unlimited lox, barley, flax, black metal. Plains is the best biome for sure after living in each of them I can tell you for sure. Meadows is too plain, Black Forest music is annoying, Swamp is Swamp, Mountains you're getting attacked by drakes and stone golems every 5 to 10 minutes lol.

I fight these guys with bronze. They hit through the shield...hard. I recommend, shield up, close distance. When it swings take one step back, then attack. Only launch another attack if it is staggering. If it's one with a spear, just step sideways as it throws then move in extremely aggressively. Running around stones also works well. Also a good idea to have HP and Stam potions in your hotbar. I have also learned however that even with the materials i still can't make stuff because I need to beat further bosses...go figure arg PS barley and flax I just used sneak. Everything respawns on a timer, different timers for different creatures, you can prevent spawns using various different types of buildings such as work benches but the range of the beches must far exceed the possible spawn area or they will still spawn, albeit further away.
