I didn't read ahead to see if someone covered this, but if getting the Bloodhound's Fang is too difficult solo, then there is a quest from Blaid, or whatever, the wolfman. He is looking for the guy with the sword. He's found at Mistwood ruins I believe it's called. 1st go there and listen for the howls. He's up on top of the tower there. 2nd go back to Kale ( Santa Claus) at that first church and talk to him. He gives you the "snap fingers" gesture. 3rd go snap at the base of the tower, then talk to Blaid. Finally, go to the boss fight and there will be a gold summons on the ground. Blaid appears and proceeds to clean dude's clock.

@@josephatkinson6280 yep, never had interest in Dark Souls, but my mate told me to get Elden Ring because I like Skyrim and it had similar combat mechanics to that of Jedi: Fallen Order, which I loved. Still, Bloodfang isnt too difficult, the trick is the right gear and knowing his pattern. I used the towershield and a regular sword at "medium" weight. Simply parry/block then hit 2-3 times then roll back and repeat. Took me about 5 attempts.

Oh yeah, I’m still maining that sword on my dex/int build, thing is a beast, I love its weapon art too. I managed to beat Derriwil solo with dual scimitars but I’d already fought him a bunch during the network test.

For anyone collecting stuff, every enemy you see in the world with weapons/shields/armor will drop every piece of it. Example> ruins with guards before the gate you get Torrent, you can get a total of 2 armor sets, 3 shields, 2 spears, 1 longsword, 1 war pick. The random lone riders with swords that rage on you also drop full set of armor and the weapon they are using (Dismounter). Its gonna take you forever, but if you like collecting and/or like me and you suck and spend alot of time grinding well.. Enjoy:) Edit: Not had any success with huge monsters like trolls other than the ones that are using weapons that stand out.

West of Summonwater village there is a grave where you can get the grave scythe but there is also a skeleton with a shield and a big sword but I haven’t been able to get the sword, I don’t know if you can

You don't have to go into the room to get the staff, you can walk around the edge and grab it from the window.

For any slower builds who struggle to get a hit in on bloodhound: learn his move set and roll backwards, blocking is a death wish. Also, the best time to get a hit in on him is after his long drag and overhead slam attack. I used to starting halberd and was able to poke him twice after that move set.

One thing I notice with all these guides is you can literally be god tier by doing these guides and not fight a signal thing. For the bloodhound there is a much easier way, when you hear the wolf howl at misstwood ruins, go back to santaclaus back at the first church ruins you came across, that's the first traveling merchant you met, talk to him and he'll teach you the finger snap emote, go back to the wolf howl and use the emote to summon Guts, he wants you to track down this guy, now come find him and watch as gut invades him and smack him ded

I’ve was running a dual blade Enchanted Knight build using the Crystal Sword and the Carian Knight Sword. They both do physical and magic damage. They scale with with STR and INT. You can put out some crazy damage with the L1/LB chain attacks. Carried me through several tough areas and fights. I’ve now switched to a full magic build using a shield and staff using Carian Sword spells that do big damage and fast. I’m absolutely loving Elden Ring and how it allows you to play however you want.

The options of magic and faith here are a beautiful change of pace for me and a different play style. I would like to try faith next and at some point do something with dragon magic.

Huh? It doesn't have a unique skill, I'm confused lol. Do you mean Spin Slash? Cause that's just the default Curved Sword weapon art, and can be put on... I think literally anything, except maybe Colossal Weapons? It's stats are also not incredibly great, since split damage scaling is only good for an off hand weapon, as having base attack and then applying a buff is literally ALWAYS better, unless you're using a weapon for it's unique weapon art... and even though the Crystal Sword doesn't have a unique weapon art, it can't be changed, either. That said, it is a VERY pretty sword, and I would still use it if I wanted to use straight swords (meh), probably have it in my off hand and dual wield it with the base straight sword or something.

@1:07 is how you can farm ruins easily.if the glitch still works hah .let the Boulder roll off the side and you get 1900 ruins add whatever ruin buffs for even more, then fast travel back to the grace at the top of the hill and repeat .

It isn’t really a glitch though that boulder is an enemy which is why you get runes for it falling off a cliff and you get so many because your in a high level area which you wouldn’t normally be in at the start of the game

Another decent armor set is from the bandit on the beach to the left of the 1st area with the tree sentinel. Go all the way down the cliffs towards the water and he'll be sitting by a fire. Sneak up and kill him for some pretty solid armor 👌

what I did at first was farm those knights in the woods where you first spawn and got a full set of their armor and 2 of their swords. Definitely recommend doing that in the beginning because it doesn’t take long and it gets you somewhat used to the game’s mechanics and all that.

For a strength melee user everything you need, if you don't mind farming, is right in the very first human enemy camp, the gatefront ruins. The godrick knight captain is the main target, he random drops his entire armor set piece by piece and it is better than anything else I've found at level 56, the brass shield is the best shield I've found, while fo weapons there's the godrick greatsword, flail, partisan, warpick. The soldiers here also random their entire medium armor sets. I farmed this area just to get used to the controls and learn how to fight and ended up with everything I'm still using, I've really tried looking for better gear because I'm tired of looking at this same get up for 40 hours. Aanndd it's better than the armor in this vid. The search continues.

IS ANYONE ELSE ON PLAYSTATION AND NOT ABLE TO GET CERTAIN ITEMS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO SPAWN?! I made a whole separate player and went there to test my problem. I went to that Cicada lake twice and looked at the spot where the rotten stray ashes are supposed to be, and went to the destroyed ruins to find the meteorite staff and both places do not have the spawned drops! ITS PISSING ME OFF Next to the plants in the corner was a drop and in the hole with stairs was the rock spell but not the other drops I’m deleting the game and reinstalling it to see if it fixes it. If it doesn’t FromSoft needs to update this. Idc if I lose the Boulder glitch lol

So I’m playing a spell blade build and have the meteorite staff. But the wep I’ve been using is just as good as this sword. I will say the sword will probably be a better stat stick but considering how much you have to invest to use it I understand. But I’ve been running around with a +5 moonveil which is a magic katana that still has bleed properties which is like one of the best effects in ER. I won’t lie, the sword has me intrigued and I’m def going to grab it now. But the special unsheathe wep arts for it may be a bit better imo. The heavy variant pretty much always posture breaks people and the light attack version is not only fast but can be used at range. Investing 24 points into faith is going to take me forever but considering I was going towards a int/dex build I may be able to still invest in the sword. Faith and Magic seem super strong so far

There's a hammer in stormveil castle, stacks with STR nicely (B from the start), i think it would be super OP on a warrior willing to stack some STR, combine it with wild strikes ashes of war and smash through everything!

What kind of gear would I need if I wanted a good balance between magic and upclose and person sword fighting. Like a sword mage

For a Str/Dex/vit(30 each this far) paladin, what would be the next best weapon up from what I am using now? That which is double flail from Night's cavalry. I haven't at +5 thus far.

I'm using the golden halberd from the guy near the start. Has good range just a bit slow. Hits hard upgraded

I recommend the beast sacred seal (incantations scale with strength) Spoiler: location Go to the church where you find the wondrous flask and head north there is a portal in a little pond (do this after murdering the boat skeleton)

@@Hoytful yeah (as long as you have the min faith requirements of course) + it boosts beast incantations which have very low faith requirements (max is 15) its a very good item as long as you don't want a faith weapon or high faith req incantations (I run lightning armament on a heavy claymore with 60 str and 18 faith)

Loot question. I have been following some guides, but it has happened several times now that when I get to that location and pick up the loot/open a chest, it doesn't not give me what the guide specifies. For example, the staff you find, that body is not there for me. Anyone else experience this or know how I can fox this? Thanks in advance :)
