I don’t think I have ever seen Goldie in a routine like this before. She can certainly handle the choreography with her fitness. Liza still steals the scene with her elegance and superlative tight performance. Nicely done ladies.

What most people, who havent studied dance, dont realize is, Fosse wanted dancers to bring out their individualism to the choreography. He didnt want all the dancers to look exactly the same. And Goldie was raising two children while having a full blown career. Liza couldnt have children. Love them both, but you people with the negative comments and critiques, go study this choreography and try it!

I had seen this one a few months ago but stumbled across it last night. Watching closely, I notice that while Goldie Hawn's movements were techinally correct, Lisa Minelli seems to have much more fluidity in her movements. "Chicago" remains one of my favourite movies

И в дуэте выглядит очень и очень достойно, и синхронизировать все движения с малышкой Лайзой ей гораздо труднее, т.к. она гораздо выше! А какая фигура у Голди!!! А в целом- прекрасный дуэт!)))

Goldie was a prof. dancer before her fame as can be seen in The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band where she first met Kurt Russell. She was raised as a dancer first. She and Liza are terrific together! Wow!

Liza was such a brilliant performer who makes any routine look so damn good. She just had a charisma that was so captivating. Much was made about her problems in her private life (just as there was in her mum's private life) but nothing can detract from the talent that she displayed in all forms - films, movies & TV, she oozed sexuality, litheness of a cat and bubbly champagne personality. One of a kind in my eyes.

What an absolutely fabulous number!!! Even though Liza is a superlative jazz dancer, I couldn't take my eyes off Goldie because I had never seen her in an extensive number like this before. She held her own so marvelously…the two were really a wonderful sight to watch together!

Goldie actually was a singer as well as a dancer. She had several TV specials in the 70s and recorded at least one album, and I’m thinking maybe a second. I met both: Liza at AA baggage claim at JF KENNEDY airport 1983 and Goldie on red carpet at 1987 academy awards as I stood in front of her and Kurt and we laughed as I held my 5-month son.

Thanks. These two were all set to star in the movie version of "Chicago", but the reasons it never materialized are hard to fathom. Financing? Who would get top billing? Who would play which role? Who would demand more money? Neither one of them has ever talked about it.
