Taglines in Rigging and slinging

Hi mate you are 💯just a quick question. I'm currently working on a mine site and they are trying to introduce the pull/push poles ! What do you think? I haven't used them yet but a bit worried it may be causing a hazard!

They are useful to keep a person out of harms way and very handy while handling loads on a floating vessel to avoid getting crushed between loads.

What is the difference between straight and reeved on tags?

There are many people out there who will connect the tagline to the sling without understanding your context. Consider a scenario where a connection gives way and the load falls. If tagline is connected to the sling it's going to launch the tagline and the person holding it upwards. If attached only to the load the line can only come down. Tag line should be long enough to keep the person outside the fall zone. A fresher would fail the test if he did this.
