When studio McGee sticks to their original DNA and style that made us all a fan from the beginning and not chase trends, it’s so beautiful. I don’t like it when the brand gets too busy trying to chase the latest fad because what’s beautiful of studio McGee is that it’s timeless, clean, and elegant.

Gotta to say as Tahoe is one of the most stunning exquisite lakes cradled deep in the Sierras with all their majesty, this is my first Studio Mcgee disappointment. There is nothing within the home that brings the true Sierra vibe. I understand it's a design line for the masses and needs to reach across many design tastes but dangit it's Lake Tahoe! The Sierras, gold rush country, timber line, old California. Alas

Amazing, very inspiring design! I would have liked more local character but understand you do it for a specific client with specific taste. I loved how thought through every detail of it was, also, how practical this space is: sleeping lots of people and offering comfortable resting space. I think a runner with stripes is not the best choice if the staircase turns. The stripes go against the wall, that leads the eye in the wrong direction.

Beautiful. Some roman blinds or similar would help soften the giant fireplace windows, i can imagine sitting in there and being blinded when the sun comes in? I wonder if you could explain why you left this out, as you have similar layout in the bedroom with windows on either side of the bed, and you did a roman blind here, for privacy 0erhaos?

Love the dark walls with white curtains. I have done that, but I don't like the fact that I can see a bit of the wall colour through the the sheers. Should I of hung my sheer curtains lower so they don't go over the wall colour?

The roof is crafted this way for the "snow load" as Tahoe gets a lot of snow in the winter.

Loving the house….but the wood on the ceiling is throwing way too much orange imo..clashes with the wall colour…..I would go back and either strip and restain…or paint over it. The windows are SPECTACULAR. Love love love. Loving the patterned sofa. You and the team always knock it out of the park. Beautiful job.

5500sqft for vacation? This is a slap into the face of people who have three Jobs to survive. The USA and all countries need wealth taxes . This is not normal! Other do not know how to make it and these super rich persons have it all. I do not believe they deserve it more because they do more... A single Mom or dad with two jobs deserves it... Or who ever has a hard time. We need more Bernie Sanders type of politicians.... Studio McGee did a fantastic job, but i am None the less shocked about the dimensions of wealth people have to spent just for a vacation home. This is not sustainable!
