The bloom and snow look very similar to what I experienced early July 2022. That winter really offset everything by months!

What day did you start. You apparently left your vehicle at the trail head, is Kingsbury TH a safe place to park?

Hi- I started Sept 6. The best information on trailhead parking I found is on the Tahoe Rim Trail Assoc. website tahoerimtrail.org/parking/

I'd definitely recommend it. It's convenient having TC as a half way point, and unlike Echo it's a massive lot that won't fill up. You just call the security number and tell them you'll be there. Wouldn't leave irreplaceable valuables or food ( because bears) inside as with anywhere, but but it felt as secure as could be to me.
